  7. Scotch Bob has to play something like 9 games to win each of his Yuropean cups - I would suggest that Scotch Alex had a far greater task ahead of him with his Yuropean cup runs. But hey, as a neutral, what do I know. I expect a snorting passive aggressive reply, using Liverpule Logic to dismiss this observation. please dont disappoint me.

  9. so rooney wants out hes not a racist or a bar room brawler, so thats klanfield out as a destination.
  10. Robson.maybe a drink free Clough. he is a superb manager, but was given a breather for his first few seasons and supplied with enough cash to make a difference when Ingerlish football was fucked for many - blates when the Premiship came along, they were well placed to exploit the new market to generate the brand and the resultant cashflow thet ensued. right man at the right time and enough board support & backing meant success- I think he would have had decent success wherever he went, its just the timing of manu was just about perfect for him/them. I cant imagine in the widest dreams of the owners/ directors it would have panned out so well over the years.

"Former Manchester United captain Steve Bruce, on reports that Everton manager David Moyes could be named the next manager of Manchester United, tells Sky Sports: "It would not surprise me. He's a very talented manager who has been at Everton for more than 10 years. "He's not had huge finances but he has still managed to put an Everton team together that will comfortably finish in the top 10. He has been in the job a long time and he has all the credentials to be a top manager for Manchester United."" he should be a manager, what with his understanding of the game. Moyes at Everton for 10 years, with no money - I never knew that.

(and > I am not a journalist by the way, although I do > work in media) The Beeb seems to source all of its vox pops from the arndale centre in manchester, npow that they have decamped to the provinces to spread the love. Gurning, hatched faced nasally northerers with comedy teeth and a penchant for crack, boddingtons & chips n gravy is hardly a representative sample of anyfing. Note to BBC - Manchester was supposedly "cool" in the 80s/early 90s - but in reality, it was always a drizzle sodden, violent shithole of post industrial wasteland, mired the hangdog legacy of fortune built on colonial exploitation- that makes Huxleys neo futurist/ vorticist tainted impression of the future of mankind being Middlesboro as a preferred option.Engels studied the working classes in manchester as part of his 1840s work - and if anything, its got worse since then- even the fucking manchester footballers live in Wales* /ends * Sub- can you edit this to flow a bit better . Cheers

  18. right man + right time + right money For that alone, we may not see the like again
  19. the saVILE stuff was always there, as was the whole light entertainers stuff from the last century- its just 1) people have the confidence to report historical stuff 2) The accepted slap n tickle, saucy schoolgirl, rape shenanigans of yore is being viewed in a different light. Its good telly/paper sales to show bad people doing bad things to kids- its just higher profile at the minute - most of what you see is still pretty much a statistical abberation, and an abberation that seems to be less prevalent as time goes by, despite the headlines and grisly media tugfest at present. Most Child abuse isnt done by ageing golfing Tory party supporting Slebs with a quasi racist jokebook, but within families, by family members - and this doesnt garner the headlines we have been taught to crave I spose. At best, we see perps of historical deeds being done ( see also the 93 yr old ex concentration camp guard arrest this week), as worst, we are being draqgged into another peedo horror outrage vigilante payback time hang em high partially orchestrated scrummage.
