  1. Hi. I would highly recommend my builder, David O'Brien. He has done 2 extensions for me and made the whole process an absolute delight. PM me if you'd like his details.
  2. I did front and back extensions - not quite the same as side returns but they cost ?80k in total (including kitchen and everything). I would heartily recommend my builder - the whole process was a dream. PM if you'd like details.
  3. I've moved a lot and I would massively recommend F Smith & Sons.
  4. Each to their own Salsaboy. You get varying discounts depending on negotiations, and I found them cheap at the end of negotiations! Their customer service isn't brilliant but if you use a builder that is an important enough customer to them, it strangely improves. In my experience.
  5. Hi. How about using a builder as the starting point, and then Howdens? They only supply to trade so you have to go through the builder, but they will come out and design your kitchen just like any other company. And they are CHEAP! I can highly recommend my builder - let me know if you want details.
  6. I had two extensions built. I used a posh architects firm initially - complete waste of money. Now I would always recommend finding the builder first. Any good builder will work with a structural engineer and architect. My builder, David O Brien, provided both these people, and they were excellent and great value for money. The whole project was an absolute delight. Let me know if you'd like his details.
  7. @Gidget. I bought my house through Foxtons and much to my amazement found the guy I dealt with to be absolutely fantastic. Reliable, helpful, patient....everything you could want. But of course that's buying - selling may be different!
  8. Hi. I can highly recommend David O'Brien. His team did two extensions for me. I am pretty sure they do loft extensions as well. They are reliable, do an excellent job, and are just generally lovely to have around. No stress from start to finish. Give him a call on 07960938621 and mention me (Vicky)
  9. Hi Claire, I have some ironing I need doing. I live in Forest Hill, so I could drop to you if that's too far out of your area?
  10. I can highly recommend David O'Brien, who has now done two extensions for me. Give him a call on 07960 938621. He's totally reliable, does an excellent job, and is a lovely bloke as well - what more could you want?!
  11. I need a dog walker in the Forest Hill area, for approximately once a week, sometimes more. I have one Dachsund/Jack Russell Cross who is scared of other dogs so she needs to be walked just with her 'sister' who is a Cocker Spaniel. Both dogs are lovely. One shy, one full of fun. I had someone to walk her/them for many years but she's now got a full time job. She wasn't a professional dog walker, just someone who needed a little extra money, liked dogs, and appreciated the incentive to get out and enjoy a nice walk. I can pay ?15 per hour. Will suit someone who works from home, or a student. Someone flexible and reliable.
  12. And if they could do Bokwa too even better right....?
  13. I agree - booking with PUSH couldn't be easier or friendlier!
  14. Try Hair of the Dog in Thornton Heath. Bit further away but she fitted us in very quickly, was lovely to our dog, and did a great job. Most groomers told us we'd have to wait over 2 weeks but this one fitted us in within 2 days Tel: 07930 186903 34 Grange Pk Rd Thornton Heath London CR7 8QA
  15. Any more volunteers? Still in great need! Thanks
  16. Hi angiepangie. I PM'd you as well and will do so again now.
  17. I think PM's must be having some problems! Pam I replied to your message yesterday at 5.49pm. I'll do it again now. Thanks guys
  18. Hi - that would be wonderful if you could help out Katyb. However, I haven't received a PM?
  19. Any other volunteers out there? Desperately needed, especially for Sat 18th and Sun 19th May. Great easy way to get involved in your community, meet some nice people and enjoy some events.
  20. Thanks Inthepink - could you PM me your email address and real name please?
  21. Can you spare a night or two to steward at Dulwich Festival events? And / or can you distribute the Festival programme to houses in your street? The Dulwich Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and it would never have lasted this long without our brilliant volunteers. If you can spare any time, and would like to get involved in your local arts festival please do get in touch. Please PM me with your real name and your email address. 10th to 19th May - listings now live at www.dulwichfestival.co.uk Thank you
  22. Hi Goosemum. I had two extensions built last year, and loved every second of it so I'd be pleased to offer any guidance. I can also recommend my wonderful builder. I've PM'd you as well.
  23. You could try the Coplestone Centre or perhaps one of the pubs, like EDT?
  24. Quite agree. I was so incensed by the rudeness on my only visit there that I left and never returned. Which is a shame for them as I have refurbished 2 houses and could have given them a lot of business.
