  1. When I read Mockney's description "I sensed there was a buy-in to the social fabric, mutual respect and an absence of intolerance" it was almost word-for-word the same as a description my old history lecturer used - about East Germany when he lived there. Saying you want something like a Singaporean society minus the dictatorship and the death penalty is like saying you'd like a bag of chips minus the potatoes.
  2. Highest per capita, Lozzy. Not highest.
  3. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL!
  4. SD girl has funny legs. Slightly too far apart and straight all the way down. They look like Bod's legs. Her brother looks like a children's TV presenter on crack. Rhydian's eyes are far too close together. Any closer and they'd be a Venn Diagram. Leon can't sing and has to wobble his entire body to get any sort of vibrato in his voice. And he just looks a bit dirty. Like he hasn't washed properly. But music was the real winner.

    foxtons

Hey 'prg'.. you should get together with 'Waste Warrior' - another mysterious first time poster who posted once about Foxtons and then mysteriously disappeared. You can discuss the best way to treat people like idiots and hope they don't notice.
  7. I hand-pulped it myself in the bathroom sink, combined with free-range porridge oats, filtered water, dandruff and fashioned it into the shape of snowflake. Hey presto: one eco-friendly non-denominational festive bauble for all the family to enjoy.
  8. No - it's a book of adverts. Someone is looking to tread on the toes of Thompson / Yell. I binned mine yesterday.
  9. I'd be too scared to do anything more than a nibble of acid these days. I'd get The Fear. It's best done when you're young and foolish.
  10. Couldn't Alan start as a toilet attendant dishing-out Kouros and Chupa-Chups and work his way up? It seems unfair to put an Australian out of a job without good cause.
  11. When you say 'moderation in all things', eh Asset? ie 'A bit of everything' mmm?
  12. Do they still do Christingle these days? I'm a sucker for an ribboned orange with some cocktail sticks and raisins stuck on it.
  13. Fair enough - I'm not so hot on sport either.
  14. I'm out of my depth when it comes to the historical intricacies of the London transport network. Let me know when the punchline is 'up'.

Tell us a joke or something.
  16. I was "Third King" in my nativity. Or as I prefer to remember it - "First King". And here is the photographic proof - though for purposes of continuity my face is being played as per my 'sitcom' thread suggestion.
  17. You're spoiling it now, Alan. I had this mental image of you in my mind - and now you've gone and blown it.
  18. Lizzie, you're kidding aren't you? Alcohol and tobacco..? Two of the most addictive drugs around..?? Swap all the currently illegal drugs with the legal ones and I think you'd soon change your mind.

That's because they're legal and are available at relatively little expense.
  20. Ahh.. Good old Bellenden 'Village'. Some of the residents there have truly mastered the fine art of pretending they don't live in Peckham.
  21. Yes - off you go, Jah. Hi-ho, Silver.
  22. Sorry, Jah. You can't always get what you want - you ought to know that more than anyone.
  23. TillieTrotter - Felicity Kendall Frisco - Mrs McClusky Jah Lush - Michael Elphick Maurice - Louis Walsh
  24. That's ok, I might move to Peckham tomorrow anyway - so I'll be in the area.
  25. Will it be open?
