  1. The Air That I Breathe - The Hollies
  2. Uptown Girl by Billy Joel, BJ pays tribute to Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons by taking their oeuvre and making pee-pee on it.
  3. Forget About You - The Motors

Joe Dolce? What sort of choice is that? It's crap, everyone agrees. But at least it kept Viennna off the number one slot. A blanket condemnation of Alison Moyet? What including the great Yazooos Don't Go and Only You? Too many to continue typing? Why? What's a-matter you...?
  5. Lovely Day by Bill Withers. THAT extended note. Gets on my tit end.
  6. But Charlies, isn't there a consensus among people with ears that Heroes And Villains, God Only Knows, Good Vibrations, Dancing Queen, Knowing Me Knowing You and The Day Before You Came are all three minute packages of sonic joy? Give me that much at least. Come on Charlies. Too Rye Ay.

Thanks for that TP18, fanny enough you might well have something there.
  8. Well if it's hair product, I had a serious Black & White 'Pluko' addiction. I'd alternate it with La India brilliantine just to ring the changes. Anyone on here of Caribbean origin may know of these products. Basically if your grandfather used it then so did I. Of course I had the good taste to lose my hair in my late thirties, thank heavens. It was never going to be good enough to carry on with after that.
  9. Stop that PGC, there's no one on here called 'w*nker'.
  10. Pretty Green - The Jam
  11. Listen To The Music by The Doobie Brothers, this used to get played a lot on the radio back in the 70s. Utterly detestable blue-eyed soul from a group with possibly one of the worst names ever. Top ten anyway.

  13. I'm with you on this. I got embarrased just reading it.

You might want to consider The Lotus Eaters. Just a thought.

Oh, I'm assuming you mean 'pulled' in the sense of 'met on a social occaision/evening and through lively drink-fuelled conversation and mutual attraction we decided we should be 'together' in a way and immediacy that I wouldn't necessarily share with my mother'. As opposed to..., I'm going to draw someone else's veil over this now.

  17. I'm going to look in this section more often, I rarely have up 'til now. It's been an education for me this evening I can tell you. It's true what they say, three-quarters of the world don't know what the other half is getting up to.

You don't seem like a f@ckwit at all. Please stick around and get involved and if there's a leg within arm's reach don't hesitate to give it a tug. Now SM, you make kissy-face with SilverFox. Go on. Go on. Go on.

Quids, I can certainly recall you suggesting an early morning meet up at ED station to take care of some regular unpleasantness on one of the trains. I agreed to join you. I can't remember who suggested the flaming torches. But I think you thought better of it, and went on to agitate for every second shop on LL to be turned into a bookies. Or something like that. Oh and by the way, the whole 'meeting up at ED station with flaming torches' thing, I'm embarrassed to say it was all talk on my part. Sorry.

I know this a spelling error and I would not normally comment, but I reckon this a a subconscious reference to Eric Sykes, and anyone who went shopping in the mindset of the sitcom Sykes would have hours of fun. What with the series of misunderstandings, the almost being arrrsted by the local copper who's also a personal friend and then having to explain all to your sister Hattie when you got back home. I think you're onto something here MikeCg.
  21. Imperial Leather? Not good Brendan. May I suggest instead Empirical Lather? It's number one for an abundance of soapy goodness. I've seen it with my own eyes.

  23. Green Door - The Cramps or Frankie Vaughn (both classics)
  24. Jamma, how did you know that SM sometimes dons the cape and mask of Administrator? I have absolutely no idea who is or isn't, and assumed it was some sort of masonic duo who operated from the spire over the top of the MIND shop at Goose Green. Seriously how did you know?
  25. What do I do with my old clothes? I wear them.
