I just bought the comic yesterday, bloody hell sixteen quid, gone up a bit since I used to buy Spiderman. Still I'll have a read of it tonight and then I'll be right back and able to contribute to this thread. On second thoughts it's Paddy's night isn't it? So perhaps I may not be in a position to do much reading. OK then I'll see how it goes, but don't hold me to it, alright?

I shall be wearing my customary shamrock-shaped green afro wig and carrying a six foot inflatable shillaleigh, if you see me and don't make fun of my appearance then I'll buy you a drink.

It shows a responsible attitude on your part. Obviously you haven't been able to run a CRB check on him so you never know. It's to your credit that you wouldn't leave your kids in the care of a man who when accused of child abuse paid an enormous out of court settlement to the parents of the boy involved. But it makes you think though...

Michael Jackson had a father named Joe. He apperenttly was not a nice man to his children. Michael Jackson recorded some great pop music as part of the Jackson 5. And they performed brilliantly live. Michael Jackson recoded some great pop music as a solo performer. And he performed brilliantly live. Michael Jackson reached a peak of fame where ubiquity doesn't even start to describe his way of being in our lives. Michael Jackson met Jordy Chandler. And his parents. Michael Jackson had allegations made against him by Jordy's parents. The implication was he did a bad thing. Michael Jackson went to Europe for a while. He had a problem with prescription drugs. Or it might have been an issue. Michael Jackson went back home and donated a large sum of money to the Chandler family. Michael Jackson then was for some years said to be 'suspect', when it came to children. Michael Jackson came back to London in 2009 and people bought tickets to his shows. In droves. Chamone.

I'd rather eat my own dung than watch the bastard thing, but I'll bung it a few quid knowing that it will do some good, somewhere. I do that 'privately' of course. I will and of course have bought odds and sods of the merchandise, because I think it will again do some good. It's easy enough to ignore while still contributing, and missing a Friday evenining's BBC telly doesn't represent a huge body blow to popular culture. Though they might have missed a trick this year by not having a Jade Goody DieAthon Countdown special.

It is > absolutely ridiculous to put somebody in prison > for spitting. A fine or community service, > perhaps (even that is extreme) but a prison > sentence is just ridiculous. Why is it extreme? I like to think I live in a society where there is a sanction for someone who thinks it's OK to gob in my face. If a person is scummy and ill-mannered enough to do it then they should suffer a consequence. Though not overly macho, my inclination would be a left hand throat-grip and a right hand nose-punch for anyone degenerate enough to insult me with their bodily fluids.

That's Destiny's Child and the song goes Uh Uh Uh or something. I've literally as I typed thought it must be Independent Woman.

And you brought some fine personal detail about the Dustbins that I for one appreciated. Took their name from an episode of the Goon Show, a favourite of our own Prince Charles.

As everyone knows Grebos were Greasers with no work ethic. One of the main protaginists was a band called Crazyhead who named an LP after the horse Desert Orchid, if I'm not mistaken. I reckon The Anti Nowhere League fitted in to the category as well, probably best 'known' for their evisceration of Ralph McTell's Streets Of London. I just knew that the money I invested in buying Sounds every week would pay off at some point.

I'm not really sure, it would depend on what was on offer and the price and number of tickets. Oh, that's what you're asking isn't it? My only tip is whatever the cost of the tickets, make it in guineas. That's class, that is.

I think PJ has caught Paul Merton Syndrome, only funny on one show or situation, in this case QI and NMTB. Paul Merton incurred my wrath for his series of remakes of Galton & Simpson comedies some time ago. Lamentable. And it was me that coined the phrase 'karaoke comedy' as a result, ask my former colleague Mark. A small thing but mine own.

But on the other hand he is charitable enough to pretend to be amused by Jo Brands dull quips. 20 points Stephen.
