  1. Really? I have a 4 month old, assumed you had a year (like my other two!). No ones even mentioned it to me this time.... How annoying!! Sorry no help on your question... Health Hub at Herne Hill always gets mentions on here...
  2. I'm thinking about sending my 5 year old to rainbows. I did a lot of brownies and guiding as a child / young person and gave terrific memories. I was never a rainbow though. In particular, we aren't religious and whilst I personally can't remember much past church parade as a brownie/guide, but maybe I've just forgotten. Is religion a large part of meetings? Does it depend on the pack? Thanks so much for any thoughts either by PM or reply.
  3. I've got the same set up and have been told ?12nph by agencies. Gulp. It also been told that the trend have moved more to gross contracts over the past year with the introduction of pensions (although advertising seems to be remaining nph).
  4. We went and was a great success. As you say, scary bits but nothing they couldn't handle. Highly recommended.
  5. My 5 and 3 year old are desperate to see the BFG as they love the old film (David Jason etc). But it's a PG.... Have others taken similar ages? They're quite robust, and handled the original fine. Any thoughts?
  6. I would be I interested to hear any thoughts too, thanks
  7. Deepa is amazing - best massage ever. Mobile and accomodating of kids, I saw her in my third pregnancy and just after and so she is used to kids http://www.deepaliving.com
  8. No kids there myself but I have a number of friends who have people there and they absolutely adore it. Logistics didn't work for us to go there but the decision was made with a heavy heart.
  9. Thanks all I've got hold of Judith!
  10. Thanks for all the advice, we'll have a look at all of these and cross our fingers somewhere has availability!! Thanks much
  11. It's all a bit last minute due to new arrival and baby, but we want to go away in first week in August in the UK with a 5 yr, 3 yr and 2 month old. We need something easy!! Any ideas greatfully received.... Thanks!!
  12. Hi I just tried this email, but it didn't work? Does anyone have up to date contact for the Kings milk bank? Many thanks
  13. She's been mentioned on here before, but I thought it was time for an updated recommendation. Margaret lives locally and is an expert on ERF car seats. I have used her for a number of years now, and today she got 3 seats for my 5 yr, 3 yr and 4 week old in a row for me. She gives great advice and has a great range of seats (the one I gave has lots of space left in it for my 5 year old). Her Facebook is https://www.facebook.com/RearFacingToddlers/ for more info....
  14. Definitely agree with straight to pants, we bought some reusable pull ups which hold a wee (if small) but served only to confuse! Buy lots of pants and go for it, much easier in the long run. We did reusable as night but they were dry once they'd trained so only for a week or so, or as Pickle says just use Eco pull ups. PM if you'd like to borrow some reusable pull ups to try out. Good luck!!
  15. I know there's been similar threads before, but struggling to find them so thought I'd reignite the age old discussion.... I have about 10 meals I rotate, a lot involve meat which I don't eat and, whilst my kids do, they have a lot at nursery/school so would prefer less meat options... So sick of looking in the fridge and larder and being completely stumped!! Thanks in advance for sharing your secret weapon meals!!!
  16. I've always understood that if you give notice after Easter your liable for first terms fees as well as deposit, before it's just the deposit. at least that's how I've always understood it. its to deter a lot of late movement I guess? When did you withdraw?
  17. Highly recommend the Riverford recipe boxes, we get the vegetarian ones as I don't eat meat they are FULL of veg, full full full. Also can try a few then you have the recipes to make yourself. Another great book is by Anna Jones, a modern way to cook. Loads of great recipes in there with lots of veg and beans.
  18. Hi! Nope.... We are going to the Lordship pub which we did last year and was great! It's the outdoor space vs catered that seems to be the choice. I have a new baby so catered won over outdoor space in the end!
  19. Thanks for all the responses! Will investigate... A mighty girl website looks amazing, what a good idea!!
  20. Just given birth to my third female! So I have 3 girls under 5. Does anyone have any recommendations for good reads around the subject of raising girls. I'm especially interested in confidence (as my main observations in the workplace with regard to difference in gender are about this). But any books in this area are of interest (if there any that's d give me a laugh too that's be much appreciated!!) Thanks
  21. Thanks yep I think Healthmatters is probably the place, they'll most likely be able to advise me more too. Thanks much x
  22. Hi 37 weeks with no 3. I do Hypnobirthing and had a sherts of aromatherapy oils for use in labour/run up that I can't find! Can't get in touch with my original teacher who moved away. Does anyone have something similar that could email me? And recommended places to purchase? Thanks for any help, so blooming disorganised this time. Xx
  23. Currently starting to organise a 5th birthday party. Wanting a place which caters, is licences (for adults!) and had outdoor space as end of June. I'll have a days old baby so could do with a reliable and helpful venue. We Contacted the Herne but they've stopped doing kids in the barn! Any one got ab alternative suggestion in Dulwich/Peckham/Herne Hill? Thanks so much
