  1. Looking at the distances for September 2013 I think you might find that that area is too far away for Goodrich and Heber but ok for the village schools. I have a friend on Beauval who's son got a place at the village school last year. I think Goodrich's distance was around 400m this year and Heber is usually about 250m. Hope this info is helpful.
  2. Ahh I could have written this post myself Mellors. Will follow this thread with great interest.
  3. My 4 year old had the pox recently and genuinely didn't scratch and he's been left with lots of scar type marks. Hoping they will fade, am applying Doublebase cream after every bath. Will follow this with interest.
  4. It's a lady that posts as 'Tuija'. I have just cleared out my kiddie clothes for her. She takes them to Gambia but I know she was going there around now so she may well not see any posts. Search for her username and pm her.
  5. I second GK Barbers. My 4 year old son and 22 month daughter both have regular cuts there. Great cuts by a very friendly lady.
  6. Which model GinaG3, the 2501 mentioned by tiddles?
  7. Where is the sling library?
  8. My 20 month old got it in February (on my birthday!) and two weeks later my 4 year old son broke out in spots.
  9. An au pair cannot care for a child under the age of two years.
  10. What have people found their weight loss to be?
  11. Would recommend The Florence too, food in The Herne Tavern is usually not so great.
  12. Anybody know of a local ladies basketball team? Cheers
  13. What is the cost to use the One O'clock Club?
  14. Does anyone know where I can buy a mini micro scooter brake locally?
  15. We stayed at the Al Waha, Oman in March 2011. Amazing holiday with our 2.5 year old. Hotel had a kids club, soft play and fab pools. The food was delicious and as I was 32 weeks pregnant at the time I totally indulged. The weather was perfect, about 30 degrees. http://www.shangri-la.com/muscat/barraljissahresort
  16. What ages do you cater for?
  17. Anybody know when they re-open?
  18. Thanks so much for taking the time to post, your comments are really helpful. Its a big decision but an exciting one and hopefully we'll make the right ones.
  19. My 18 months dtr has the same symptoms. Just called SELDOC and they advised could be chicken pox or HFM. Not a lot they can do apart from Calpol and Ibuprofen to control her temperature. Did advise no contact with pregnant aides until the rash goes.
  20. My hubby works in IT and would probably look at working in a bank (as he does in the UK) but he is def open to new ideas. I won't be working as we have two young kiddies. I spent a year in Oz 8/9 years ago so am aware of the baking temperatures that can be experienced. I did love Perth, I spent 4 months there, I am a bit concerned it might be a bit quiet but I suppose the lifestyle I would have as a Mummy is totally different to the one I had as a young, single girl so maybe a reconsideration is in order.
