  1. Can anyone recommend anyone locally? Apart from the standard aches and pains I have swollen feet and ankles I would like dealt with!
  2. Huge congrats Cath! Look forward to meeting the new arrival! X
  3. We had the same thought process as you Strawbs, turned 38 and thought now or never. My kids are 7 and 4 and while I sometimes worry about life with 3 I am looking forward to number 3 arriving in April. We are too moving to Oz at the end of the year and that concerns me a bit too as will leave support network but think it will all work out.
  4. Just be aware the bullet isn't designed to crush ice and there was a fairly recent issue as blades were breaking.
  5. A Mother's Help is the level between Au Pair and Nanny. They should have sole childcare experience and usually slightly older. The fees are higher but they also work more hours. We had our first Mother's Help when our youngest was 2.5 yrs and she worked 35/40 hours aweek.
  6. We have a 7 and 4 year old and have been using Club Med. Fab set-up and guided skies within a group if you want that. We met great people in this way who we ended up meeting for dinner quite a bit.
  7. Can anyone recommend a local class? Thx
  8. Maybe a Mother's Help for a child of 2 years? We looked at au pairs initially but found they didn't have the experience I was happy with. We ended up with a lovely Australian girl who had lots of experience with sole charge care. The fees were higher but I had peace of mind.
  9. Hello Forumites, Is there anyone out there who hails from Melbourne? We, hubby and 3 kids, will be moving out in December 2016 and are currently researching beachy suburbs to live in. I will be going out for 3 weeks in Jan to do a recci and suss out areas and hopefully visit a few schools. Currently looking at Brighton, Hampton, Sandringham, Mordiallac and Parkdale but don't really know much about any yet. Any tips or advice would be fab. Thx
  10. Emma at EH Physio. 07856 203980 http://www.ehphysio.com/ Very reasonable prices.
  11. A Maclaren umbrella stroller. Like this: http://www.mumsnet.com/reviews/pushchairs/strollers-and-buggies/9313-maclaren-quest-sport
  12. Hope you all enjoy,I can't make it now but am up for next time. Bex.
  13. Was thinking 7 year old in the front with the airbag deactivated and 4 year old and newborn in the back. We don't often travel as a family but thought when we do one of us could squeeze in the back. Hubby will not entertain the idea of a people carrier. Is this realistic?
  14. It does get pretty busy in the school hols but I went in August, four kids, one buggy and while it can be a squash as times as you walk around completely doable.
  15. Midivydale - where did you buy your Octavia from? Which model? The vrs?
  16. Oh and 'hubby' is 38 and really not keen on anything beginning with a Skoda... even the VRS but I may have to be extra jolly to convince him :-) We are moving out of the UK in December 2016 and think we probably let the Audi go too early but there was a lot of cash invested in it to risk losing a drop in value when the new shape comes out in March. Any and all ideas welcome! Cheers
  17. Thx for all your replies. Huggers - where did you buy your recent Octavia from? Trade or private? Have discovered the Honda does not give the option to deactivate the front pax air bag so we are ruling that vehicle out and I am now sat at the pc trying to locate an Octavia. Spoke to SG Smith in Croydon but they don't have anything at the moment.
  18. Frogs are really good; lightweight and reasonable cost.
  19. I wondered if any forumites drive a Skoda Octavia and, if so, could give any feedback on it? Hubby loves his cars and We have just sold an SQ5 (which he loved probably more than me) and we need a car just for the next 12 months but he is resisting the Octavia. We have number 3 baby on the way and I think the cabin space, boot volume, solid shape and good fuel economy are a good bet. Hubby is put off by the badge and is leaning towards a Honda CR-V mark 3. Can anyone give advice on either or both? Cheers!!
