  4. I watched a cyclist go through a red light last night at junction of ludgate circus and nearly get hit by a taxi turning on a green light and I was right behind him and then nearly hit a woman crossing the road and called her a stupid c**t.... and currently fleet street is closed one way and the road has been narrowed but cyclists still come down it head on towards buses , lorry's, cars , etc and expect you to somehow move over for them even though they shouldn't be there .. cyclists are a menace to pedestrians and other people using the road , I see it every single night multiple cyclist going through red lights but I have not seen one motor vehicle go through a red light ... something needs to be done to stop them
  5. It might have been a stop on a car i think as there was a car with blue police tape on it and smashed windows on drivers side a few doors from my house but I didn't see or hear anything
  6. Need someone to fit wifi security camera outside my house .. any one recommend anyone
  7. Unfortunately it wont stop unless everytime light goes red a barrier comes up but then cyclists will ride on pavement to get round it . See a lot of cyclists ride on pavement aswell
  8. A red light is a red light the law applies to everybody using the road . If the light is red you stop even if there's nothing else on the road but I see so many cyclists going through the red lights it is unbelievable and I've not seen one car go through a red light while I've been on the road. The worst place I've seen this is blackfriars bridge heading towards ludgate circus and even the big busy main junctions of ludgate circus and the main junction before blackfriars bridge on this side of the water , the pedestrians are running across so they don't get hit by a cyclist.. bottom line stop at the red.

  11. Looks like Iran have attacked us bases in middle east aswell as a British base
  12. Depends if Iran attack any British bases etc if not just stay out of it and hope we don't get dragged into it . Let America and Israel deal with it
  13. Said it before and will say again .. the UK cannot do it alone when it comes to climate change etc when you have countries like the USA , INDIA , CHINA ... you have some countries in Asia and India and Pakistan where their rivers are full of rubbish where they just throw it all in.. but we are being punished
  14. It's fine making everything ai and robotic but then what happens ? Who pays the taxes ? How do we pay for food if we have no money ? Who pays for everything we need to survive ?? It probably will happen in the future where robots and ai do everything, so even the highly skilled jobs Plumbers , doctors, nurses, police , etc will be obsolete, may start with fruit pickers , cab drivers , warehouse and delivery drivers but it will get worse for everyone. You can probably tell im against it.. 😂
  15. There's now 4 way traffic lights at the junction of east dulwich road and crystal Palace road adding to the misery of roadworks and temporary lights
  16. Your right but also the amount of crime this may cause through robbery of phones and money , people urinating in the street up against people's walls and houses when they leave , the possible vandalism to people's cars the drugs ( users and dealers ) that may show up , the possible violence through fighting or stabbings and god forbid any sort of sexual assaults ... this is another concern for people in the area...
  17. We have 16 weeks of road works in the area which is already causing traffic hold ups we are going to have this gala go on to add to the traffic and there are drop off points and pick up points for it at bottom end of barry road for the green badge of doomer ubers to add to the traffic
  18. I used to cycle but don't ride that way anymore , now I'm a road hog . Thanks for the offer though malumbu
  19. Go on YouTube type in road morons and watch the video , the guy narrating it is pretty funny, shows motorists doing stupid things and cyclists, the cyclists should be more careful as they have zero protection but they do some of the most dangerous things on the road...
  20. A colleague at work was driving along lower Thames street and stopped at the red light when her light turned green she started to turn and a cyclist jumped the red light which then caused my world colleague to swerve and she hit a drunk man who was looking at his phone and also crossed on her green light, CCTV from 2 buildings and street cctv showed she was not at fault but she has been charged with dangerous driving .. the pedestrian ended up with a broken leg.. while the police were at the scene multiple cyclists ran the red light and the police did absolutely nothing....
  21. BBC News, London Published 25 April 2025 The Royal Parks charity has launched a campaign encouraging cyclists to be more considerate and stick to the speed limits in the parks. The Considerate Cycling campaign follows several incidents in the parks, the charity said, with the aim to enhance safety and improve the park experience for all visitors. The campaign also comes after a recent research found almost three-quarters of pedestrians surveyed in London had witnessed or experienced a near miss, or collision, with a cyclist. Tom Fyans, from the London Cycling Campaign, said: "While cyclists riding too fast are annoying and can undeniably be dangerous, the biggest cause of road danger to anyone inside a Royal Park remains drivers." Image source,Getty Images Image caption, The campaign will run through the spring and summer months The survey, which was conducted in February and consulted 2,005 people. It found 72% regarded "people cycling without due care and attention" as the main concern as a pedestrian. Also 86% of people said the 20mph vehicle speed limit in central London should also apply to bicycles, which are currently exempt. The campaign will run through the spring and summer months. It is backed by a new code of conduct, external that all cyclists entering the parks should adhere to, regardless of whether they are commuting, exercising or exploring the parks recreationally, the charity said. New signage is also displayed across the Royal Parks in high-traffic areas, with a new cycling online hub on the charity's website. 'Behave better' Darren Share, from The Royal Parks charity, said: "Cyclists must understand the impact their speed can have on others, which is why it is crucial that they comply with the park regulations, and we are asking people to stay within the vehicle speed limits in the parks. "The safety of all visitors is our top priority. By encouraging cyclists to slow down, respect the park environment and be considerate of others, we hope to foster a culture of respect and a safer, more enjoyable experience for all park visitors whether on two feet or two wheels." Tom Fyans, from the London Cycling Campaign, added: "Paying attention to your speed when cycling is sensible and shows respect to others around you. "Everyone needs to be sensible, everyone needs to behave better, everyone should be safe - and The Royal Parks needs to keep the focus on reducing road danger for everyone."
