Its disgraceful especially when they want to charge us more and more -
There's a burst pipe at underhill road near barry road and road is closed , the water was pouring down barry road so I walked along and moved leafs and debris away from drains and water stopped coming down barry road towards peckham rye. You would think that thames water would have someone there fixing issue but nope nobody there doing a thing but they want to tell us no hosepipe etc and charge us £75 a month. 20251012_062535.mp4

Cyclists in the City of London have been caught 10 times more often than motorists for running red lights this year. Since the start of 2025, 284 cyclists in the City of London have been fined for failing to stop at lights, but only 25 motorists were ticketed for the same offence This report is from the standard. And I see it on a nighty basis while driving to work , report also says cyclists are fined £50 while a motorists is fined £100 and 3 points on licence... 58% of cyclists surveyed say the regularly jump red lights -

In the UK, e-bikes are classed as bicycles if they meet the criteria for an Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC): they must have pedals, an electric motor with a maximum continuous power of 250 watts, and provide assistance only up to 15.5 mph (25 km/h). If an e-bike meets these rules, it can be used on roads and cycle paths like a standard bicycle, with no need for registration, insurance, or a driving licence. However, if the e-bike exceeds any of these limits, it is considered a motor vehicle and requires registration, a driving licence, and insurance. -

All 2 wheeled pedal bicycles are a problem with red light jumping whether that be e bike or normal pedal bike , this morning at junctions of east dulwich Grove and Crystal palace road a cyclist jumped the red light going along east dulwich Grove towards goose green round about and I was going across the lights towards Crystal palace road and nearly hit the idiot , I had to brake hard and honk my horn and he just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders , next time I wont stop and just take them out -
But like yourself that is their opinion which is what you and they and myself are entitled to its called free speech and democracy . As long as nobody is threatening each other with violence then its OK. That's my opinion . Just be happy that what you say is right and I will be happy with what I say is right and anybody else can be happy because what they say is right..

Just because someone does not agree with you does not make them wrong that is my opinion. The same as myself I do not think you are wrong in some of the things you say and also that is your opinion. For your information I used to be a cyclist and I used to ride through red lights , not have a light on bike when riding when dark or wearing a helmet.

Hopefully starmer will follow and go

Ask a pedestrian if they feel safer when crossing a road at red traffic lights or a zebra crossing between a bicycle or a motor vehicle and I bet you they would say a motor vehicle. I sit at junctions and watch so many cyclists go through red lights its crazy. Last night a bus was going through the junction and a cyclist went straight in front of the bus coming from the side which was a red light, how the bus driver did not hit the cyclist is a miracle.. cyclists need to take more care and responsibility..
