  1. Ah, Niko!! First time I have called upon him after an EDF search for a plumber. Such a great guy, and definitely top of my list to call for any plumbing-related issues! Came round quickly. Very decent price. Professional. Generous with his advice and support. Lovely person with lots of experience and reassurance. Just what was needed!
  2. Do you mean ALL of Denmark Hill or just the bit by the station?
  3. I thought the LTN has made a virtual gated community out of the village 🤔 This

  5. Voted at the St Clements, Friern Road polling station, 6pm-ish, and they said that turnout had been low so far...
  6. Another acknowledgement for Jon who now has a team, such is his excellence!! Seriously, I texted him at short notice for just a few windows and he was there the next day, then fitted in my neighbour who is also really happy with his work. He also does carpet and upholstery cleaning [i can vouch for this after one of my sons smashed a whole box of beers down the carpeted stairs and Jon came out the day after Boxing day and saved us!] Ovens, decks, end of tenancy cleaning. I'm just reading from his website...he must be doing well because, years ago, he used to just clean my windows and be a really decent man. So...a recommendation for Jon and his lovely team! https://www.jonsmithscleaningservices.co.uk/
  7. No post for nearly three weeks except yesterday received a birthday card posted 12th December...sigh.
  8. My friend had this bike stolen from Forest Hill. 'Bird ZeroAM 27.5" hard tail, size M. Super subtle paint scheme'. Really grateful if anyone sees it.
  9. Thanks for this. I am trying my absolute best to not drive the car I can't afford to replace but am already ?50 in debt to TFL [on Autopay]. *A215 Denmark Hill / A2216 Champion Park *Peckham Rye/East Dulwich Road *'Lordship Lane'...not sure which bit as they try not to show you more than your registration plate. [two lanes, then an unbroken white line with red route double lines on opposite side if there is any detectives out there...]
  10. Mine still not arrived so have emailed them to ask for another. Maybe if we all did that they might get the message...
  11. "We recently sent out a newsletter to all households in Dulwich" ... ..er, no you didn't. Dunstans Road.

COMPLETELY agree!
  13. Southwark Council are asking local residents and businesses for feedback as to whether or not they should keep the 'temporary pavement widening measures on Dunstans and Upland Roads'. As a local resident, it's the first time I have been asked my opinion on this, one of many, parking, layout and road changes in the vicinity.

So, James are you saying that if, for example, I move my car from the next street to be near to my flat they will charge me ?11.50 each time? Cross-referencing it with any recent journeys paid for? I bought my car after the Government said diesel was better. I have to keep it for rare journeys. But current issues with reduced parking, builders vans, school parents drop-offs mean that we often have to park a long way from our home. To think that people will feel persecuted in this way is unbelievable.
  16. Another great job by Jon! Nothing is too much trouble and he really is a great guy! https://www.jonsmithscleaningservices.co.uk/
  17. Albrighton Community Fridge is a fantastic resource for our local area and families and individuals can get much-needed free food without a referral. More importantly, they are a fantastic team and helping a couple of hours or more a week is very rewarding. Highly recommend!

Totally agree! Also, as we are months away from the extended Ulez zone there will need to be cameras on every corner. Maybe these new cameras are part of that plan?
  19. Lost! One bright yellow toddler shoe...my granddaughter's first pair! :( Somewhere from inside Goose Green Playground, up Crystal Palace Road, towards Dunstans. Thank you.
  20. 'Whoeveritis', I think it's appalling that you should call individuals out by name on a public forum and then proceed to slag them off. For what it's worth, Sue has been an absolutely wonderful and helpful receptionist in all the 8 years I have been a patient at FHR. That aside, no-one deserves to have to read your diatribe. Shame on you. 21. I was just about to message you, ant12! I had an extra-clean of my slightly grubby Golf as I was due a grandaughter who may need transportation [!] and they did a fantastic job, including steam-cleaning the seats. That was a bit of a one-off but you can then have basic washes after that.
  22. I use Dropless and think they are fantastic. https://dropless.co.uk/ They come to your home and have safe practices relevant to the the covid restrictions.
  23. Brilliant!!! We all need to look out for ways to do our bit. Thank you Mirash.
