We already get US companies to do NHS outsourced roles BUT if the government changes policies in a way that may effect them they have to suck it up. A trade agreement means they can sue I think - so government to avoid being sued has to change it's Health policies so the US companies can make a profit - they might be legally forced to protect profits. Anyway Trump is either a fool or the great disruptor - I never heard the word disruption used in a business sense until he appeared - now it's the new buzz word.

Trump retraction made now according to Sky News ticker - that's what happened when they tried to incorporate it in TTIP too.

The suggestion was first made by Woody Johnson the US Ambassador - and he wasn't fully challenged when he said it. Trump says it and everybody loses it :) Anyway after DDay-75 he's off to Ireland tomorrow where I expect he'll fully back the GFA. -

Donald Trump has come to this country and basically caused chaos - turns out Sajid Javid wasn't invited to the Queens banquet (the only senior minister not invited) as people were scared Trump might mix him up with Sadiq Khan. -

When Trump was asked about the NHS he moved over to Theresa May and asked apparently what it stood for. Maybe expect some backtracking on this once his advisers tell him how much the UK values the NHS and how it might allow Corbyn to be elected. -

I think this is what they want - already tried to get it in TTIP. "Once NHS services are outsourced to the private sector it may be difficult to reverse the process, particularly if trade agreements like TTIP are signed. The leading bidders for the Staffordshire contract for cancer and end of life care, for example, are all thought to be US private health companies. Under the investment protection measures that TTIP will probably include, a transnational corporation that wins an NHS contract will be able to sue the UK government for huge compensation if new government or local authority policies undermine the corporation?s future profits. When the Queen gave Trump Churchill's first edition of "World War 2" she made the following speech ?After the shared sacrifices of the Second World War, Britain and the United States worked with other allies to build an assembly of international institutions, to ensure that the horrors of conflict would never be repeated, while the world has changed, we are forever mindful of the original purpose of these structures: nations working together to safeguard a hard-won peace,? The Washington Post has picked up on this - so Trump might too "The Queen did not explicitly name the institutions she was talking about, but the two global bodies established after World War II to prevent a similar conflict from happening again were the United Nations, NATO and later ? on a regional level ? the European Union. The Chinese visits were a mixture of protesters and fervent supporters along the Mall in the past. The Queen is crafty She showed Trump the pewter horse he gave her last time and asked him if he recognised it "No" - Melania did however. Also gave Trump a book on WW2. Some Americans see this as "throwing shade" :) https://www.harpersbazaar.com/celebrity/latest/a27702429/trump-state-visit-england-tweets-memes/ -
This is from 2017 https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/aug/07/tesco-to-end-sales-of-5p-carrier-bags I see myself using something more robust then the bags for life which I exchange frequently after "holing" edit: I think it's cucumbers that are worst for breaking them.

Same in M&S in Holborn - I gave the manager a dirty look after putting my sandwich in a huge bag. They want us to use our own I think which I will try to.

Trump is playing the trade deal game already. Liam Fox seems to have pulled back on trade deal expectations. They will be difficult and we will need to negotiate hard to keep our management of NHS resources and food standards it seems. What we are going to do I guess is put the NHS and food standards on the table and claim a success when we manage to retain most of those (but concede in most other areas). Fox now supports Jeremy Hunt for leader - read into that what you want. -

Pay off debt (if you have any), Save a bit and try and gain skills that are in demand. That's the Brexit survival plan - but that won't help the unemployed, low paid, pensioners will be hit eventually as the government and oppositions have realised they need to help the young if they want future votes. -

They have come rushing over when I get stressed out at the tills (which is as soon as it flashes, beeps and says "unknown item in bagging area") but it depends on the staff member I suppose:) Once they made me feel like a criminal because I put my pin in wrongly - although the lady who came over rolled her eyes in a way that said "they've taken this mornings security briefing to far" -

"In theory, 5G will be able to simultaneously support more than a million devices per sq km (0.4 sq miles), a big jump over the 60,000-odd devices that 4G technology maxes out at. But to make this possible, antennas will be needed all over the place - from lamp-posts to bus shelters, in addition to more of the rooftop masts we're already used to." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-48426481
