12pm start Sat 20th July - 'March For Change' in Central London
JohnL replied to IlonaM's topic in The Lounge
The biggest net contributor to the EU by far is Germany - yet people say Germany gain massively from the EU (which they probably do ). So contributions are not a real measure of the value of membership. Also - if we are talking about a march - and it's being said that it's a bit nebulous what it wants - maybe that's because it's all preparation for rejoining in a few years (10 maybe) - we have the right to start the fight for that now as I think we all agree we are leaving and probably with a no deal (unfortunately in my view) -

I'm not going but the slogan is "No to Boris, Yes to Europe" https://infacts.org/say-no-to-boris-yes-to-europe-on-july-20/ That has to be clear :) -

I'm usually alone at Christmas (and I like it that way) but I still do all of that :) I always found family Christmas's stressful although after people have gone it's nice to remember.

I'd say it's 10m as two cars fills it. -

JohnL replied to Eggybread's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'ts difficult - I had to stop a couple of weeks ago in the outside lane to wait for traffic to move ahead so I could cross into the bus lane at the correct point not before. People behind me wonder why I'm not moving ahead to the lights (or maybe they don't if they know the area). -
Surely Huawei technically - but would you in the current times.

It's the children riding these bikes that confuses me. I thought you needed a mobile phone with debit card facility to hire one (or maybe the parents do it ? )

9 and a half weeks is all he'll serve 9 Months given. 4 and a half to serve (I thought that would be if he showed good behavior but seems it's how it is), 2 months +already served. He's been let off easy even though he claims he'll be murdered in jail (he won't be)

Burn isn't an option if you live in flats (unless there's an incinerator somewhere around we can take out paperwork to) I've got statements going back 20 years I'm beginning to chuck in a clearout and shredding takes ages. -

Actually to be fair to Wetherspoons I'm much less likely to get a bad pint in there than some other places and as they also sell so much the beer it probably isn't stored for very long before it's drunk. The quality of their beer isn't an issue.

Actually not all Wetherspoons are the same The price in Peckham Spoons is much cheaper than Chancery Lane Spoons
