It's beginning to close in on Mad Dog Cummings now. He doesn't have the right to order armed police to do anything. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/aug/31/boris-johnson-must-launch-inquiry-dominic-cummings-reign-of-terror I saw Steve Bray accost him (via twitter) recently and he looked like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth.

More seriously Dominic Cummings has apparently lost his rag and fired one of Sajid Javid's staff for socialising with Phillip Hammond's friends. The man seems to have a fiery temper. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/aug/30/sajid-javid-was-not-told-in-advance-of-advisers-sacking-by-cummings

Takes me back to Darren Grime's flying visit to Switzerland where he extolled the virtues of the Schengen Area without realising it much to twitters hilarity.

There is a protest at 5:30 outside Parliament if anyone feels like it. I'm not in the right mood.

What is the point of a head of state that does nothing. Straight home tonight or I'll be arguing all night the foul mood Boris has put me in :)

And unless people have been subject to it I think it's unfair ro call me out - I've been attacked many times and it's started again recently. -

English is a language that has mutated all throughout it's history so we have to accept it :) Even though I can hardly understand what some youngsters say to me. -

This paralysis of government won't be until Oct31 - It'll be for years and years whilst we talk/don't talk to the EU, accept/don't accept a WA/FTA, Negotiate with Trumps people and then possibly find Biden in charge etc etc. -

Extinction Rebellion: events and actions [edited subject to be more general]
JohnL replied to katanita's topic in The Lounge
"99% percent of the fires result from human actions" https://edition.cnn.com/2019/08/22/americas/amazon-fires-humans-intl-hnk-trnd/index.html Even Bolsonaro says it's insurgents from abroad. More importantly It's also supposed to be a rain forest and should be naturally too humid for fires but the environment is changing. -
