  1. If you go to a walk in centre currently you need to have a 182 day gap between the 2nd vaccine and the booster - similar if you book online. Just got mine today -182 days on from 4 June. Apparently the government has said this should change, announced it, but didn't tell the NHS - so their systems still expect 182 days.
  2. Trees grow so slowly - I planted a horse chestnut with my father in 1975 - he died in 1979 and the Horse Chestnut is still a young tree - it was no more than a sapling for 20 years.

You can buy these Lanyards online - no test that you are genuinely exempt. it's a self exemption test. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Exemption-Lanyard-Essential-Suitable-Crowds%EF%BC%88blue1%EF%BC%89/dp/B097KGSRHW/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?keywords=exempt%2Blanyard&qid=1638471247&sr=8-2-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyN043Wk1RM1A1TlJWJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDg1MDY4M05EU0pGWEE3VTFHWSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDI1MDAwM0ExVVVPVElBMjBZQyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1

    Xmas Parties

One Xmas party in Norway had a record spread - I accept this may (may - no proof yet) be a milder variant but it seems to be unbelievably infectious. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/norway-covid-christmas-party-omicron-b1968467.html
  6. They should be - email below from yesterday.... I wanted to update you on everything we are doing to keep you and our colleagues safe when you shop with us. From today, everyone in England must wear a face covering when shopping or working in our stores, unless they are exempt. Throughout the week we?ll be putting new signs and posters up in all of our stores and we will have greeters and security guards at the front of our supermarkets to support our colleagues as we help everyone get used to the new rules. We continue to thoroughly clean trollies, baskets and checkouts and, as an extra precautionary measure, we have increased the fresh air circulating to make sure our stores are well-ventilated. We will of course also make sure there is plenty of hand sanitiser available as you come in and out of our shops. We are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe this festive season ? thank you for your ongoing support. Best wishes, Simon Simon Roberts, Chief Executive

I am a patient there and am outside the boundary - lets see what happens - still seem to be on the books currently

    Accommodation

but a lot of young people around Peckham - so often I'm the oldest person in the pub - especially recently since Covid
  9. Didn't Jacob Mogg state 50 years https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/jacob-rees-mogg-economy-brexit_uk_5b54e3b5e4b0de86f48e3566 Some of us will be over 100

    GB News

Sky News Stephen (Stephen Dixon) joined up ... but I haven't seen him on Sky News for months. Not sure if something happened or he fell out of favour when Kay returned. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/stephen-dixon-leaves-sky-gb-news-b967727.html
  11. Popped in the Great Exhibition on Saturday and it was very quiet - then the Bishop was crowded. prices weren't too different to before.
  12. I've paid over ?6 recently for Camden Hells (which is always quite pricy) I think prices went up recently after lockdown

Actually Wales had a Plaid-Labour coalition for a few years (not sure many outside Wales noticed) And it almost became a Lib-Con-Plaid coalition too. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/politics/what-plaid-achieved-partner-labour-21864617
  14. I think its these new breed of film on Amazon and Netflix They are dubbed from numerous languages but always have someone with the same accent that I haven't worked out yet saying "luv"
  15. All the more ammunition for a PR type of election where the sides have to come together and negotiate rather than pandering to their part of the electorate.

    COP 26

there is no way in H@ll we are going to keep warming to 1.5 degrees - 2.7 is more like it.
  18. Sure someone was being interviewed for it in Rye Lane today (outside BossLook) Could be another Peckham docuseries though :)
  19. I actually thought vetting made sure you are who you say you are (if you do it properly) and we at the moment don't have the resources to re-vet police officers. I'd say requirement would be for a verification department that verifies the identity of every ID holder - or alternatively you just accept that many people will get (or worse collect and sell) fake identity cards and accept that.
  20. There is a lot of evidence pointing towards the introduction of digital ID cards at the moment with recent events. Pritti Patel saying this morning she may want to track people on Twitter - well that needs a digital ID. Now is the time to do it if thats your aim (I remember Blair wanted ID cards) as lots of right wingers calling for them without realising their Covid vaccination status and other data will no doubt be entered too as we progress.

    Andrew

The Queen probably knows all his little peccadillos.
  22. Encouraging "the mob" seems to be a thing these days. The government is happy with protestors in the road (who are probably morally right but legally wrong) being physically removed by motorists who want to get past. I guess some feel they are just as entitled to remove LTNs (that aren't people) and drive through.
  23. I think Frost is the sort of man who gets on everybody's nerves. He probably got married, said it was the best marriage ever then wanted an annulment because the marriage was the worst marriage ever. Actually he's the Henry VIIIth of international treaties.
