  2. Had a quick look and seems like between ?60 and ?160 per year for my flat with a random major insurer of course the "flood warning alert" popped up when submit was hit before - if it was "flat roof warning alert" I'd understand :)
  3. I have no content insurance at the moment either - when Halifax (my bank) tried to get me some it was refused due to "flood risk" - I'm 4th floor :) It was outright refusal to insure. I'm sure some companies do insure but their are issues in Peckham Rye/Dulwich (maybe others know more).
  4. I never saw a sign of mine alive again - logged it on https://www.immobilise.com/ too (you can flag it as stolen) They tried to take money out of my bank account for months from my stolen card which was cancelled (I got all that back of course) - must have been professionals :)
  5. These people do it for companies - so must be people who do it privately (or through insurance) https://www.investigate.uk/legal-litigation-services/asset-recovery/
  6. Could have been sold on I suppose - but I've heard the police won't enter in these circumstances. You'd think you could hire a private security firm (OK costs would be high - but I'd do it for vengeance - I had my iPhone X stolen in December and still not got over the revenge feelings)

Well Jeremy C..(sorry) Hunt it is. Definitely a Theresa May ally (although he says he's not now a remainer)

    Boris has apparently "gone missing"
  9. Maybe he'll abandon his waistcoat instead (I'm sure he won't).
  10. Jumping off a double decker bus in Clapham.. oh dear But my experiences with the fans have been quite good (ironically both in Clapham and Borough).
  11. I'd think a slap across the face won't be worse because you're disabled, mind you people are so different about kissing and personal space I'd say maybe one clear warning is appropriate. I have noticed kissing on the cheek is more acceptable in some cases these days in the UK and maybe some men can't get the right time to do it especially when they're a long time single.

I wish to pay tribute to David Davis. He was a fine man and saved many goals for us Welsh back in the 80s when he was known as Dai. His political career however, did not match his goal keeping. I'm sure he'll now travel out to Russia to give his much needed advice to the England team and as a Welshman I appreciate that.

I own 30% of my flat on shared ownership - I admit I should have brought more and could have but you do other things - the total flat value is just over 400K (I'm SE15 not SE22). I paid about 7K in deposit etc 10 years ago. If you're talking about houses then totally agree it's almost impossible - but houses in London are not for first time buyers (although many people I knew lied about their salary to get on the ladder 15 or so years ago when you could do that unbelievably). (self certification mortgages they were called - no wonder we had issues in 2008)

Her Brexit vision cannot be delivered however, as EU has already thrown it out (and Merkel won't intervene). Why is the UK still negotiating with itself is what Barnier would say.
  16. Oh and this cabinet is so so trustworthy - they are apparently all having their phones confiscated today. If Theresa May doesn't trust them ... why should I ?
  17. The problem with Theresa May is - imagine we only ever heard one side of the argument on Brexit and the EU didn't say anything - We'd think it was great, going superb, negotiations progressing well, a deal imminent. Remember that she didn't want a running commentary. She's authoritarian and secretive by nature, and surrounded by people who think it's OK to lie to parliament (yes you Ms McVey). So I take everything her government say with a little pinch of salt and look at the evidence for myself (which in this case still points at Putin)

Not as if I have to - We have free bottles in our work fridges (and free coke/diet coke) - and a nice Malbec on Fridays. I can't read small print without a magnifying glass.

  21. Even if it is Putin the whole story will probably be under wraps for 100 years.
  22. The one thing I have noticed about house prices historically. When they're going up everyone seems to think they'll go up forever and when they're going down everyone seems to think they'll go down forever - then it changes and everyone forgets there previous thinkings.

I'm surrounded by young people - they seem to buy 25% to get their foot in then staircase as fast as they can (I haven't in 10 years being me). Still requires ?50K combined salary though. I lost 12% the very year after buying in 2008 - and should have increased my share then LOL. Didn't give two hoots at that time - still paid the same.

If the choice for parliament is Norway Option or No deal .. I think the majority is Norway. One thing - Merkel is not history. She's got another 5 years I'd say.
