I've had a few encounters that I've just dismissed but maybe I was lucky.

So Theresa May has given the go ahead for a feasibility study into a rival for Galileo/GPS. get those satellite launchers ready. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-45336001

?Look at what the director of the WTO has actually said. He said about a no deal situation that it would not be a walk in the park, but it wouldn?t be the end of the world.? So it's somewhere between a walk in the park and the end of the world I guess. Maybe she's trying to wear us down.

Dominic Raab was sweating so much as he made his speech today. Reminded me of Richard Nixon.

  12. There was an article on Sky News about Major Trauma Centres the other day (KCH is one) - they've saved quite a few lives apparently. So I guess it doesn't just serve London but a proportion of SE England. https://news.sky.com/story/more-lives-saved-because-of-major-trauma-centres-11477258
  13. Glad nobody hurt I remember the kitchen of The Puzzle in Docklands catching fire (smoke billowing out and you could see flames) - everybody insisted on finishing their drinks before leaving the pub.
  14. I'd have found the guy funny - reply would be be the usual "I pay everything by card" though
  15. Maybe this bit - worth checking "Many dental hygienists now work under direct access, where you can request to see the hygienist directly for a scale or polish. Hygienists can only provide this open access on a private basis, and you should check the cost of the treatment before booking an appointment." https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/dentists/whats-available-on-the-nhs/

You can't have a go at someone for whatever they price their houses at - you can but try for the best (buyer or seller) in your own circumstances.

Maybe in Captain Pugwash but not in Charles Dickens :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charley_Bates Edit: and they say the term was obscure at the time but surely Dickens could have Googled it ;)

That's just students trying to be clever. If cleaners aren't picking up litter they can actually clean surfaces and toilets etc. Of course more cleaners could be employed but that requires more money.
  20. Not guilty -but Ryan Ali not guilty too and Ryan Hale case was dismissed earlier.. Someone online suggested affray was the wrong charge as it only applied to bystanders feeling threatened. Assault/ABH may have been the correct charge. The two guys Stokes was supposed to be defending have supported him in the papers but all parties not guilty so it's a bit confusing. Stoke's barrister even suggested his friend could have caused the injuries (no charges brought). I still feel if I personally interfered in a case of bullying and caused that damage I wouldn't have stood a chance in court.
  21. Try asking them on twitter and facebook https://www.facebook.com/truegraceuk/ It just sometimes gets a better reply - no idea why :)

  24. Strange to make a lot of noise if they didn't want to be caught. Maybe drunk or high.
