You all complained when people went through your rubbish bins but now the rubbish sifters have been proved to be economic geniuses and we were just relics. Bin Sifters have the have the full backing of Michael Gove as he says "Hunt for Gold in other peoples rubbish" https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/michael-goves-hot-tip-hunt-for-gold-in-others-rubbish-vk60ck53p

I thought of that one - but Jerusalem :)
  3. Looks like as long as its a project with a goal (and obeys the rules - no spam for instance) it's OK :)
  4. Meanwhile most important news of the day .. "US President Donald Trump has faced ridicule online after he was filmed boarding Air Force One with what appears to be a length of toilet tissue attached to his shoe."
  5. Trump was used in a sentence without the requisite emoji.
  6. I don't think there's moderation of views :)
  7. Not sure if this belongs in this thread but this link is a Wetherspoons worker talking about why Wetherspoons staff are now striking. There does seem to be a theme with hospitality workers recently not just single pubs. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/oct/04/wetherspoons-strike-poverty-wages-hospitality-sector

I really wouldn't say that, is it just me who doesn't see this stuff and I'm always out in Peckham, Clapham, Camberwell, Waterloo and central London (out more than in LOL). London is much much more peaceful than Swansea where I got into scraps regularly. Islamic people just get on with their own life mainly and don't forget there's 8 million people in London so when you hear things you have to bear that in mind.

But if you look at the patrons page - there's a lot of "Rt Hon Lord " http://www.europeanmovement.co.uk/shared_headquarters
  10. Is there a size limit then or could Starbucks use this to open a coffee house on Peckham Rye ;)

The Labour Party (for what it means) has specifically said it will vote no to a blind Brexit.

I put my head in my hands when Obama spoke up ... a real mistake that cost remain votes.

Guy Verhofstadt seems "triggered" too "On Brexit, we will never accept discrimination based on skills and nationality. We will never accept an extension on article 50. Enough mess has been created by Brexit. Let's stop it! We will never undermine the principles of our Union to rescue the Tory party"

Some of this is becoming incredibly personal mind you, there seems to be a lot of "when you go to jail" flying around from both sides (and by sides I mean groups who seem to be working on this full time). Carole Cadwaladr after returning to twitter from a break seems to be in personal feuds with "The bad boys of Brexit" and Isabel Oakshotte.

As far as I can see Britain is already fractured - the Remain supporters aren't backing down anytime soon and will be encouraged by the EU. The only way out if Brexit goes ahead is for a hugely successful economy - because if we're rich we won't care that much. If we're poor I dread to think what will happen.

LOL I don't think I could undermine the referendum alone however many times I tweet Jeremy Hunt - that's @jeremy_hunt :)
  17. TFL don't always listen to consultations when money is involved :)

Sky News this morning listing the allegations against the Russian GRU as the US presidential election, attacks against business etc. No Brexit though - that was obviously untouched. If we want to include what the Russians meddled in we can't cherry pick.
  20. If any people force a second referendum it'll be the grey suits https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/final-say-brexit-referendum-lord-willetts-cabinet-minister-conservatives-a8565396.html

"The PM appeared to perform her famous "Maybot" dance as she entered the stage to the tune of Abba's Dancing Queen while waving her arms and bobbing her head. "
  22. 'Chequers' really has nothing going for it at the moment. It's worrying that a fuel duty freeze (when there already has been one for a while) is (supposedly) the best news Theresa May can come up with in her conference speech.
  23. The Wooferendum really exists :) "Dogs are demanding a Wooferendum to stop Brexit. Join us and together let?s make the biggest bark in history" Look how sad all those dogs look because of Brexit, David Cameron and Nigel Farage.

Why does she always say the same thing ? "Questioned again later on BBC Radio 4's Today about how she felt that her former colleague appeared to be mocking her, she replied: "What I feel is that I, and this government, and this party, are getting on with the important job... of getting a good deal for the United Kingdom when we leave the European Union.""
  25. Only economic success will really keep remainers quiet - and I just can't see it. If UK had a huge success then so be it - but half and half solutions surely won't bring anything better than membership.
