I feel really down about Brexit today. Theresa May being more or less ignored brings home what the future of this country is likely to be, UK flag removed from the EU ones in Brussels (I think - I looked for it), French Minister replying "well you voted for it" when the word "blockade" is mentioned, BBC interviewing only hard leavers. It's as if we're being prepared for wartime conditions. The march on Saturday will be ignored by the media even if we get 200,000.
  2. I was sure at one point letters not put fully through were being pulled back - complained to Royal Mail and they didn't seem to respond but it stopped happening.
  3. Best of luck.

She aigned that backstop proposal back in December when she was desperate to move on to "Phase 2" of the talks remember. Everybody at the time said it was a huge fudge and guess what ? If you sign something then it's in the agreement and that's what the EU are saying. I also notice Spreadsheet Phil has said in the event of a "No Deal" we still have to pay 30 Billion of the 39 Billion divorce bill.

"The Prime Minister will once again be barred from the main discussion of Brexit at the summit, and will have to address the 27 leaders ahead of their dinner in a separate room." When I quoted the above I thought the "their dinner" was a typo. It's not - she isn't allowed to have dinner with the rest - she has to give her presentation and head off (to the servants quarters for some sandwiches maybe).

"The diplomat added: ?The truth is? we have clarity now, actually, more clarity than we had in Salzburg. What we have found out in the process leading to this meeting on Wednesday is that it is not going to be so easy to find a deal between the EU and the UK.? The Prime Minister will once again be barred from the main discussion of Brexit at the summit, and will have to address the 27 leaders ahead of their dinner in a separate room." It's just ritual humiliation for her.

I thought Cocaine was the big recreational drug - but what would I know (Alcohol only - So many people say that's the worst)
  9. Unfortunately if you live in a shared block and people dump without registering for bulk collection - often there is no option than paying out of the service charge (I'd say its a risky thing to do though as can be seen as breaking the terms of the lease).
  10. Would you buy a chlorinated chicken off this man ? "Donald Trump has said he believes Russian leader Vladimir Putin is ?probably? behind a recent spate of poisonings and assassinations ? but appeared to suggest they were not relevant because they did not happen in the US."
  11. Oh the old A level Chemistry (blowing things up mainly in my case) It's H2O + CO2 -> H+ + HCO3- soda stream :)

Yes - I noticed the Deliveroo "Editions" The website tried to push me on to it as if it was preferable (but I did notice what it was so must be pretty clear).
  13. IMHO the problem is historically the bottom of the market doesn't become evident until we're some way past it (ignoring Brexit)

Your basically looking for the bottom of the market - as everyone is - that's why nothings moving :)
  15. It's everywhere IMHO - I'd think the best way of stopping it is stopping people buying. Every weekend I see something - reporting location helps for stats and databases.

  18. I normally take around ones left with me to be honest rather than waiting for the person who got the card (or didn't get it).
  19. Why does the Express ALWAYS print some words in CAPITALS. I thought it would be plague but it was REALLY and LADYBIRDS. See how annoying it is.
  20. It's up to the practice I think https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/gps/patient-choice-of-gp-practices/ The issue is home visits I'd think (never had one).

  22. I like cheap takeaways and I don't really mind if they come from a distribution kitchen but surely there's a way that's better than production line - it's a little sad. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/oct/09/dark-kitchens-satanic-mills-deliveroo
  23. There's a thread in the lounge and it seems like quite a few are.

You get used to it though I wouldn't recommend some roads to families with young children Some types of motorbikes make a lot of noise when accelerating and I'm by traffic lights - not sure why. Last night some girls were singing at 3:30 AM too - what was that for :)
  25. The Barn owl definitely shrieks - scared me once or twice in the country. I once saw an Eagle Owl - huge thing.
