It's unraveling as we speak. Brits abroad can have rights in one state but cannot move to another in the EU.

Neither side is going to be really happy with that. I can hear the 'sellout' chants on twitter and I haven't even looked at my phone today.

He's been let of by the committee as they voted along party lines (technically he gave up all the documentation he had apparently). He still could be pulled up by the speaker

For a woman in such a hole Theresa May didn't do to badly in PMQs. She's trying to say she'll sort it all out in phase II. Two Brexit hardliners including Rees-Mogg ('are her red lines going pink') had a go though (that's the danger she faces).

"Labour's Hilary Benn asks whether the government undertook an assessment of leaving the customs union, before the decision was taken. "Not a formal quantitative one," replies David Davis. "Isn't that quite extraordinary?" probes Mr Benn. David Davis replies that there are a "phenomenal numbers of variables". And with that, David Davis departs." and with a flutter of his cape and a puff of smoke, he was gone.

So no assessment of the impact of Brexit on the economy and no preparation of the impact of the DUP agreement on phase one of the negotiations - one third of which concern the island of Ireland. There's a theme here - no wonder Theresa May didn't want a running commentary.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-parliaments-42226690 "David Davis tells MPs no assessment of the overall impact of Brexit on the UK has been carried out." and that's it.

David Davis in front of the EU Exit committee again. Were there impact documents on the automotive industry, no were there impact documents on the financial services industry, no . Davis apparently doesn't believe in models. But there were 58 sectors of analysis in excruciating detail and the PM saw the summaries. Hillary Benn looks confused and angry. Davis is getting closer to a charge of misleading parliament.

Ruth Davidson suggests the whole UK has regulatory alignment. That means staying in the single market and customs union one or the other ? May as well remain and have a say in what we're in.

Anyway the DUP are c**ts - they have so many opt outs from GB on gay marriage, abortion etc. but they moan about being treated differently to GB.

Theresa May tried to capitulate today - but she couldn't - its a bit of a farce now. I note the FM of Scotland, The FM of Wales and The mayor of London all asked why they couldn't have a special deal almost straight away.

David Davis has said if Damian Green gets sacked unfairly he's going too. That's such a bad excuse to be a rat leaving the ship. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/dec/01/david-davis-threatens-to-quit-if-damian-green-sacked-unfairly
