Fruit flies or drain flies (or dead body flies) or just house flies. Can't miss the small fruit flies that I get loads of in the summer (especially if a potato rots)

A family member got sectioned for anorexia - and when I visited they had a whole unit of anorexic teenage girls sectioned. -

Those reviews look horrendous.

If it changes the view substantially from Franks or the Bussey there is a reason to object. Would actually impact my view but not much - can still see the London Eye and St Pauls from mine and they'd have to build a wall to stop that :)

I went into Costa and it was full of the overflow from Wetherspoons :) Still enjoyed sitting there watching the top of Rye Lane from the window - it's fun to watch. Not to bad an addition - got to say the latest addition I've been to most other than pubs is Voodoo Rays (could it be the large bar that attracts me in)

On twitter today some lady claimed he grew up in a children's home after being abandoned by his immigrant (Cypriot) parents. Not the born into privilege type. He is always (IMHO) Tony Blair's man however - what he says is really Blair's view - but Blair is too toxic to be able to speak on this these days.

It might sound rude but > it's not a rude word and he is betraying a widely > held principle. It's one of the rudest possible words and to me has connotations of Hung, Drawn and Quartered and the head being put on a spike on London Bridge - but maybe I'm old fashioned. During John Majors stewardship the leavers pestered and heckled him left, right and center (he called them the bastards) - you can't blame remainers for embarking on the same sort of campaign that may last for just as long. If we do go back in (even in 40 years) it's us who have to prepare the groundwork now.

everybody had a tortoise back in the day ... slowly trying to make their escape to the next garden and hibernating half the time. Apparently not something approved of these days.

Energy saving light bulbs, what a waste of time, throwing out
JohnL replied to malumbu's topic in The Lounge
Me being me did smash one to smithereens once somehow. I evacuated the room as suggested earlier - luckily no children or animals around just me. -
Mine was good - but I like my own company and stayed in London. By the way EDT was packed on Xmas Eve - the only pub really full. Some pubs closed.

Well it was in the first 14 days of my insurance policy (I didn't see that term when they sent me an email "set your mind at rest - your phone is covered") Goodbye to my lovely iPhone X - probably what was being targeted. All my cards were used fraudulently I don't know if I was drugged but I lost memory from the bar until I ended up at a police station in Islington - must have been unconscious as all my pockets (zipped/buttoned) had been gone through. Policeman asked me straight up if I was raped - luckily no to that - they're popping in to see me at 7:00 PM. There's bad people in Central London - I'll stick south of the river from now on.

logged with police as hate crime - because that was what I perceived - i'm live blogging and taking photos as I inquire - I'm the wrong person to mess with LOL
-
watch how it's done as I'll update - fury has no hell like a Welshman scorned - I start at the pubs I was in.
-
central -- they drugged me of course because they would't have got near me otherwise - well after reporting it I'm off to track down and take retribution on the scum :)
-
furious beyond believe scum don't get to do this -

Breastfeeding in public (surely there cannot still be an issue...)
JohnL replied to malumbu's topic in The Lounge
I'm never going to sit on my own looking into a pint at pubs - I'll always look around and see who I drink with (maybe it's a Welsh type thing) - I actually talk to loads of people I don't know too :). It's good to know whats happening around you - I have an idea of who's where and who's doing what wherever I am. But if I ever felt anyone was uncomfortable I'd avert my eyes. -

SLad Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > denigrate someone for feeding their baby in public > or (worse) ogle a breastfeeding mother. > Sometimes I wonder if this is what sets some old fashioned men off (those not comfortable in their own skin) - They don't know where to look and are scared someone or the mother will think they are ogling so they get angry. I can't think of anything less appropriate to ogle - are there really people who would ? -
I can't believe they inserted Damian Green into the story.

The EU Leaders gave Theresa May a round of applause today and Juncker said it was for the effort put in by her personally - so fair enough, also when asked if UK could remain he said that's up to the UK Parliament and people - meaning that option is still there from the EU side I'd say.
