  2. Rye lane is white - haven't inspected it.
  3. I've seen a couple going up Rye Lane. The road looks ungritted (white) though.

  10. In the 1980s we went through a phase of "pick your own" and we brought into it and went out to pick our own. Didn't last too long though :)
  11. Actually there is a fair chance of a Maunder Minimum in a few years (2030) so it might appear colder but that doesn't mean climate change (warming) isn't happening - it's just masked until 2050 or so. https://www.livescience.com/61716-sun-cooling-global-warming.html
  12. Penguin68 Wow - but as you know if it doesn't happen in the capital it doesn't happen anywhere ;) I notice now predictions for heavy snow from Storm Emma later in the week.

All coffee places are full in my expeience - but whether that translates to profit I don't know. I actually like Nero's atrocious coffee - but maybe I should ask for an extra shot in Costa and Starbucks.
  17. They did mention directly on BBC or Sky (forget which) that no trains could get through from Peckham Rye to Denmark Hill. So I planned bus from the start.
  18. And the Daily Mail is off - in full panic mode. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5434235/UK-Weather-5C-overnight-snow-blows-in.html We must be home by 6 PM - I'm staying out then

  22. One of the great things about my flat is the walls don't seem to transmit any noise. The front door does (you hear children running past). But if my flat can do it - the technology is there.
