  3. Unfortunately I'd guess Spacey has many many more victims than have come forward.
  4. From Facebook That's put a downer on my day :( "It is with a heavy heart that today we have had to take the decision to close The Gowlett. We have been working for some time on a package to allow Jack and the team to continue in place but alas, time has today run out. It is still hoped that this will happen sooner rather than later but that was taken out of my hands this morning. I can't even begin to apologise to the staff, customers, DJs, friends, suppliers and everyone else who have been involved in this being such an amazing place to be, enough. I've tagged a few of you here, but can't really think... I am broken. Understandably, I won't be responding to stuff over the coming few days, as I have enough to deal with. My first efforts are to ensure the staff are taken care of. I'll see you all on the other side of what this all may bring."
  5. What, Why ? It's still popular. Moving on to other things ?

There are now so many "accusations" (or whatever we can call them as many are admitted) that you re-shoot and that guy gets "accused". maybe bring in some new guys to be safe Current New York Times list (US based) https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/11/10/us/men-accused-sexual-misconduct-weinstein.html

I doubt the journalists who write the stories see much of this though - they just see further cost cutting along with all the back office workers who lose their jobs as the big newspapers all merge and have "economies of scale". So who benefits from GMG doing this. I say it's the greed of the same people at the top (the super rich). Of course everybody who works for a company where the executives are greedy like this could resign, doubt it will happen :)

  14. Oh .. and for some reason I like some of the Irish newspapers - gives you a different perspective on Brexit.

I certainly believe most if not all of these accusations are true - but you have to keep in mind the possibility (devils advocate type thing). All cases need to be investigated and the accuser and accused given their rights. You're right about espoused values and real values in companies - they don't match even now. In the pub a lot of touching still goes on (in my experience) - one pub recently I felt it was human pinball :) Some people generally just don't like being touched at all though and they have that right too wherever they are.

  18. Guardian, Indy, Standard and Wales Online LOL Twitter just has to be used correctly (90% is rubbish but you get an idea how opinion is moving)
  19. The Welsh First Minister speaking today (he was close to going too it seems) http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/carwyn-jones-meet-labour-ams-13873438 Not good all round there.

My sister had lived with her boyfriend for years and years (since she was 18 - she'll be 50 now) - last year I looked at her facebook - and just flippantly it said "got married". Assume it was for legal reasons and she didn't want any big thing made (I had to 'give away' my other sister and I didn't think I was that bad :) ).
  21. Removing an actor from a film already filmed shocks me a bit (and not condoning anything Spacey did). Could we eventually use tech to remove an actors entire repertoire - erasing them from history.
  22. Saw a US man propose on YouTube - first she throws something at him then she tries on the ring - doesn't fit she puts it on her little finger - he says "it's only the dummy one"
