  1. Someone needs to hold Boris et al to account but we seem to have lost half the Sky New journalists this week. Kay Burley and Beth Rigby "taking a break" although Neal's not to bad in the morning slot - shows how few we have.
  2. Pugwash Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Police have advised many times for people to be > vigilant when using the phone in the street as > they are easy targets for thieves on bikes. This is the big one for me and the only reason I insure my phone - when it wasn't insured I was all out for a fight over it (after a few pints) "Finally ? and this is so important to remember ? if you?re threatened with violence, don?t risk your personal safety. Property can be replaced, you can?t."
  3. Also there's the video where she's telling him what to do (can I take my mask off now, keep your distance , put your mask back on now). He replies "you certainly run a tight ship here Ursula" A few people have said to remember she has 7 children :)
  4. His suit doesn't fit and whys the bags in his trousers :). I buy off the peg so mine aren't perfect - but he's PM.

  7. Rudy's got Rona it seems.
  8. I don't think health risks is allowed to be taken into account - only normal planning issues "National planning policy states councils must determine applications on planning grounds and, in judging the health risks, should only ensure the proposal meets ICNIRP guidelines for public exposure." I think siting and design are the grounds for refusal like this one in Lewisham. You do get the impression they will just come back with a different design though. https://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/18877517.perry-vale-locals-relieved-three-5g-mast-refused-nbsp-nbsp/
  9. It seems scam season - I got the phone call from "Hammersmith police" saying one of my cards had been attempted to be used for a 3000 purchase. Not really in the mood to wind them up and make out I'm a notorious train robber - so I told them I'd ring back and put the phone down. (this is a lie and they're trying to find vulnerable people who may give them card details or worse withdraw money to give them as "evidence"). Be Careful.

Thats what I miss this year. for instance crofton park-> proud sow (crofton park) -> beer dispensary/brockley jack (just a quick pick out from the map). Does nobody pick out shopping based on the nearby pub or is it me :) Not so much in the Covid days though.
  11. I notice all the other orders for vaccines ordered an initial order and an option to buy further orders UK only had an initial order.
  12. I think the government changed the law for 5G https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/phone-mast-planning-rules-scrapped-to-improve-5g-pdl2lqp9m "The masts will still need to be approve by councils, though full planning permission will not be required. " https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8551743/Mobile-phone-masts-high-Nelsons-Column-allowed-without-planning-permission.html
  13. The dogs got antlers. What about the Cheese Shop - Tempted to go for a look.

"Spahn said Germany wanted all European countries to be able to roll out the vaccine at the same time. ?We have member states, including Germany, who could have issued such an emergency authorisation if we?d wanted to,? he said. ?But we decided against this and what we opted for was a common European approach to move forward together.?" https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/dec/02/uk-put-speed-before-public-confidence-in-vaccine-says-eu-agency
  15. I agree the tech is different but I don't believe it's dangerous On the other hand I don't blame people being nervous but after you've seen these things come in regularly to the same issues you get a bit used to it. There will be more of them - and enough for you to be tracked to street level if you want a conspiracy LOL

Thats the effective state for everyone - you might not see them as they will disguise them - but they will be there. 5G is much shorter distance than 4G so you need more of them. Doesn't mean they are dangerous but it would be nice to have a good disguise - and I think they can penetrate tress etc. They will often be on top of tall buildings I saw a new one on top of the new flats in Christmas Yard - sort of think Meh. I think we are a conservation area too LOL - a more urban type one.
  18. Anyway there is a judicial review in progress over planning permission being relaxed for so many masts and health fears- I wouldn't expect too much but it means that this has been properly looked at :) https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/government-5g-phone-mast-radiation-safety-fears-a4560011.html I remember my mother having the same health fears about 1G masts in 199? to be honest.
  19. 5G tech is such (higher frequency, lower transmissible distance) that there needs to be one on every street I thought.
  20. Might be wrong but looks like a mast has been put on top of the new flats in Christmas Yard. I can see from my balcony.
  21. My Work phone is O2 and on 2 bars (Peckham Rye/Co-Op house) I use mainly only for phone, email and light browsing. Edit: Fell off to 3G as I spoke
  22. If fines were a percentage of income representing 10,000 for an average income that wouldn't happen. She just wouldn't take the risk. She's paid the going rate voluntarily https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/rita-ora-apologies-lockdown-breach-birthday-instagram-b116454.html Same goes for the owner of the restaurant - The "Billionaire Francois Perrodo" - 10 Million may have given him second thoughts. Also allegedly there was a pub in Greenwich that ignored the first lockdown completley.
  23. I like to think Reach PLC took too seriously the statement below and made the Express as brexity and crazy as possible. "the CMA said it believes the merger does not raise competition concerns in any of the issues for which it had been referred, including that the two sides "not close competitors, as they target different demographic groups and differ in content and tone". https://www.sharecast.com/news/small-caps-news/trinity-mirror-given-ofcom-green-light-for-express-and-star-takeover--3357257.html
  24. 90 days is the rule - that's what all third party citizens are allowed. Basically this headline says "We are special"

The ideas are valid but they would have to be consulted on also if adopted ?
