I would have but am packing up for the big move next weekend!!! >:D
-
hey there Badger You can most definitely come along regardless of your *drink and run to HK* status.. Will keep you in the loop on all things gingeerbeeeerrr...... Keep 25 July free for the Rye..
-
WOOP WOOP I can get it.. Will take a listen most definitely.. PMSL come on 'never going to give you up' by Rick Astley was ALL TIME, and I also loved 'crazy for you' by Madonna as I was rollerskating around my mum's garage... >:D<
-
Cant get on to you tube here (my firewall blocks it) but am looking forward to seeing the lists that come in! :)) @DC - Islands in the stream - total Classic! I was raised on Kenny Rogers and Simon and Garfunkle - know almost all the words to the Gambler! *rolls eyes* I personally would have thrown in a bit of Rick Astley, possibly even Bros (both of which were massive in Australia when I was a kid)

Curry Club - Thursday 7 March 2019 - venue TBC
Strawbs replied to Michael Palaeologus's topic in The Lounge
I will definitely keep my eye out for the next curry night that gets planned as Jaws and I may pop along for a bit of Indian (if there is room for two more of course) - gutted I missed last nights - I even said in the car on the way home I had a real hankering for Indian.. Anyhoo looking forward to it.. -
Before I get any more excited about potentially joining the curry club - is it always on a monday? I will go and read the curry club thread and see if I can answer any more questions I have..
-
I would love to join the curry club but alas I am not sure my waist line would be able to bear it plus unlike the antics of the chillis above I am more of a korma/butter chicken (without the chicken) kind of a girl.. Does sound like fun though!

My 2p worth Sundbeds are a quick way to give yourself cancer and if you are lily white you run a high risk of burning.. I would absolutely get a fake tan rather than sunbed, expose yourself normally (and I dont mean 'expose yourself') to the sun the next couple of weekends and you will be fine. Fake Tan now and then sunbathe with sunscreen - less cancer and minimal burn.. Oh and Charlie - dont let those naughty boys bully you - skin cancer and sunbeds are sooooooooo out and fake tans and healthy longer living people are in! You are making the right choice.. B)

I dont like the Johnson one but the dove one is brilliant, I am using it at the moment and if you use it daily up until you go on hols it will give you a great colour albeit they have added little sparkly bits in it (not that noticeable) so not sure if your metrosexualness will stretch that far.. One tip - ALWAYS ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER APPLICATION - or you end up with funny coloured hands and its a dead give away... Good luck! p.s. or if all else fails book in for a st tropez and ask for a light tan

I absolutely despise magpies. When I was a young nipper we lived in a street (in Australia) that had more magpies than you could count and every spring these little feckers went on the offensive. My mother's solution (and every other mother in the street) rather than having to duck for cover herself by getting to the car to drive us to the bus stop made us hats out of empty ice cream containers with a face drawn on the back and gave us all a big stick that we had to wave above our heads as we walked to the bus stop (a fair distance for a 10 year old) and we did this for about 2 years if you can believe it.. We still sometimes got pecked.. *rolls eyes* I have such a hatred of them now and I can still hear their devils wings flapping around me ears!!! Sorry that's not much help so possibly you could use a sling shot?

Would of but can't already going to be at the Rye with about 30 peeps..

Which is Missing. The. Point) Was she hostile because she truly believed it WOULD be picked up by someone else and thinks of us all non littering peeps as Eco Warriors or because you called her on it? I am astounded she would have the balls to get lairy about it but then again the fact she felt or anyone feels its fine to litter astounds me also.. *thinks* Im clearly easily astounded... Totally agree with you on the missing the point bit.. Possibly what needs to happen is the community wardens / bobbys on the street need to enforce the fine of littering whenever they see someone instead of letting them off with a warning"!!! I think police in this country and far too soft!!! In the country I came from there certainly is litter, by no means is it perfect, but there is alot less as you know if you are seen someone is going to most definitely say something to you and if you are in eye shot of a copper (who are all armed) then you will be nicked full stop! *retreats from keyboard*

Do they actually care that little for their surroundings that they are happy for it look like a bag of sh*t with litter all over it?? (6) Many a time I have seen people throw litter out of their car windows without a care in the world, it absolutely infuriates me to the point where I want to say something to them but a small part of me fears they would get out of their car and beat the crap out of me which is a whole another problem our society is facing at the moment.... *sigh*

Who was it that decided the letter A would be A, how it would sound, how it would be written and that is was the first letter in the alphabet?
