    Lead Pipes

A mole is a bit of kit that they use to bore a hole from the street to your house without having to dig a trench, cheaper and less messy
  2. Get a token for the tolls from Sanef Tolling then you don't have to fumble about for change and get out to put it into the machine at every toll, just sail through the Telepeage lane at 30kph
  3. we used Happy Hatters for our daughter's birthday and they were excellent, kids loved it.

    Lead Pipes

No, was a specialist who only do that, I assume the equipment isn't cheap. We used Curaleak - 07969 940 431, think the guy's name is Ian Loads come up in a search as well: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=replace+water+main+with+mole&oq=replace+water+main+with+mole&aqs=chrome..69i57.8703j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

We also had a lead pipe but have since replaced it with a modern poly pipe as we wanted to get some extra water pressure in the house. The guys that did it used a "mole" to put the new pipe in so there was no digging and very little disruption, wasn't expensive either, around ?400 I think.
  6. What I don't get is why the council didn't get planning permission in place before they sold it..would have added a couple of hundred grand to the price.
  7. Maybe the council has other areas to cover other than East Dulwich?
  8. so did I, was great got 2 extra portions of fries too :-)
  9. I live near Penge East and just googled P-Block which is my nearest gang....first thing that comes up is http://study.com/academy/lesson/p-block-elements-on-the-periodic-table-properties-lesson-quiz.html which is encouraging...not all gangs are guns and drugs, seems this lot are more of a study group

  11. I'm currently doing StrongLifts 5x5, very effective http://stronglifts.com/5x5/
  12. I just used nationwideepc.com, cost ?43 instead of the ?90 plus VAT the estate agent wanted to charge me. I'm sure you can find someone local using https://www.epcregister.com/searchAssessor.html which is the government epc register site

  14. I didn't think this forum could get more middle class.....I was wrong
  15. A guy called Alan, got lots of recomendation on Virtual Norwood Forum, number is 07932 401 488
  16. ?69 seems a lot. I just had my gutters cleared, a downpipe unblocked, and some minor rendering done for ?60...
  17. Another recommendation for Alan. He just fixed our patio door that wouldn't open and fixed a set of French doors that would close properly. Turned up when he said he would and did a great job at a great price.
  18. Printers are too expensive to fix (unless you have a laser printer). My Cannnon packed up and they wanted ?150 to fix it when I can get a new one for ?40...a trip to the tip is on the cards!
  19. I think Sony intend to support Windows 10, they just haven't got round to testing it yet. Probably doesn't help that they no longer make laptops..
  20. People who insist on walking around with no top on, generally a bit porky, and holding a beer
  21. I did a direct access course at Metropolis in Vauxhall, cost around ?600 for a week (was a while ago now)
  22. We didn't get much change out of 60k but we had a new boiler, megaflow, and roof as part of that. Most of the quotes we had were around the 40k mark but you need to add bathroom fittings, tiles, carpets, decoration, fitted cupboards on top. We also found different companies included different things, for example some included the french doors in the price, some charged extra, same for the tiling.
