Quite soon in Reception you don't need to stay, but if you do it on a weekday children of working parents who are not confident to stay won't be able to come. Logistics of getting there also tricky. If a local school probably close enough to walk them back home, but for safety you will need another adult to help. I have had weekday parties but for year 2 and upwards when numbers reduce and confidence grows. But this stage does not last long and it is a good opportunity to make friends with other parents (and sort out a plan)

Mine is AEG - I have an AEG washer drier and an AEG tumble drier. My combined one was fine but he tumble drier gets them bone dry wheras the combo alsways needed a line dry to finish off. But from what devsdev says maybe mine just wasn't great. And someone above recommended Beko - I'd be wary of them, they have a very high rate of recalls on their products, and I have seen first hand the destruction caused by one of their tumble driers catching fire. Grim.

my condenser is in a cupboard and has not caused any problems. The water collects in a drawer, which needs to be emptied, so either a steady hand or proximity to a sink is good(or remembering to empty it after every use so it is not full quite to the top- ha - that makes it sound so obvious why don't I do that??) It does gets warm, and the air around it is warm, but I would not say it is a damp heat - the moisture is all in the drawer.

can you squeeze in a condenser tumble drier somewhere? I had a washer drier and it was plain ok - but the difference with a tumble drier is massive. I do also like my Lakeland heated airer which, with a sheet over itto make a tent, dries clothes quickly and cheaply.

Interested in the bus stop - does Harris have power to move bus stops? -
There are other Beavers packs. Try the 34th at the Rye Hill Tenants Association Hall - it's on the Nunhead side of Peckham Rye, on Monday night. There is another pack on Belenden Road too. And do report the other lot. 34th draws boys and girls from Goodrich, St John & St Clement's, Ivydale and Heber primary schools - no doubt there are children from other schools too. Your chld might find it easier to join a mixed pack as presumably that other pack is going to be full of children attending the linked school.

Hotel at st pancreas station is nice- thameslink from Denmark hill. Not too pricey from recollection unless you take the champagne extra option..........

It isn't particularly hands on, not much in the way of computers to play with or things specially for kids- but it is massive, with loads of guns, old fashioned wax works and lots of ladders to climb up and down. We really liked it because it is old school and not dumbed down at all. No good with a toddler or buggy if those are considerations.

The curriculum guide I got at the open day says it is weekly in years 7,8 and 9. It's teaching him confidence, promoting respect for other cultures and about the development of the art form while also encouraging a life long love of the subject apparently! I had to do it at secondary school and considered it a well earned break from proper school.

The playground further from the tube near the COpper box is cool, especially the tree house. Loads of places to eat in WEstfield. -

North Facw is your friend. Pricey but so worth it. -
I like mine. Spag Bol, chicken casserole, sausage casserole, pulled pork are my faves. It's a once a week thing here, not sure you would want to use every day, although I did when my kitchen was redone. V handy if out for the day. Get a specific slow cooker cook book.

looking at the stats for Forest Hill Boys I see that the different ability bands have differing 'last distance offered' distances, so banding is not a magic solution. if you fall in the 'wrong' band you end up disappointed. Are the bands proposed for Habs based on local applicants? Or some notional average? If all the children in Se22 are mini geniuses then there won't be room for everyone in the top band! Or is that not how it works? -
Went straight from wooden Velo Walker to 2 wheeler. The stabilisers just confused our daughter. She can ride the 2 wheeler but still loves the Velo walker for short trips. She's 4 so think there is scope for older children to use them- our7 year old was on it in the park as it us fast and fun.

Sorry not got one in Year 1 but the playground is usually friendly. Which class is your child going to be in, hopefully there will be some Year 1 parents who will see and reply.

Superkids swimming lessons under threat
katgod replied to Mitfordsisters's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I wonder if there might be a H&S type new rule. Superkids at Dulwich Prep has had all classes pushed back later into the evening, with no explanation really (the school's decision, not the club's). I am giving it til Half term but fear the lesson times are now too late for my children. Could just be pure coincidence that 2 schools are restricting pool access though.
