  1. Even when you are robbed and they are caught, trying to get them to court is a nightmare when they are asked to take part in a video ID parade and are allowed to change their clothes, change their hair and remove or alter facial piercings. Even when you see the gang who were with the person who actually mugged you in the same video "ID parade" laughing into the video making you feel worse than you already do. Being mugged is not a nice experience but the truth is that these people have rights too and even with some great police officers out there catching the baddies there is still no guarantee that they will have to pay for the crime as there always seems to be a way for them to get away with it. Helen, I hope your husband is doing OK and feels safe going out, and glad that he has not come to any physical harm.
  2. I can back up Lorenzo's recommendation for himself. We've booked him for our wedding and he has also done some fabulous photos of a friends children. www.lorenzophotography.co.uk AJ
  3. I am not sure if PUSH studios do classes for this age range but I know them for ballet lessons so maybe worth a call and the staff there are all fantastic. http://pushstudios.co.uk/en/ AJ
  4. Hello Are there any Chinese (Mandarin) language teachers in East Dulwich or nearby anybody can recommend? AJ :)
  5. Totally agree with Jeremy. And wondering how I can sneak into DaveR's suitcase to get back to Penang. I love it there. :)
  6. I agree with yeknomyeknom that the beef rendang in Mangosteen is lacking in punch but if you ask them to make it authentic they will. They just cater for westerners tastes as lots of people complain if it is too spicy. Silly if you ask me. Why go to a Malaysian restaurant and complain about it being too spicy? ;)
  7. Links at the top of the page have been sorted and actually go somewhere now. Thanks for those who let me know they were not working. And a few asked if the special offer included the free consultation - YES! absolutely you still get a free consultation to decide if it is right for you before you go ahead with anything. Stay healthy folks! AJ
  8. I remember enjoying the music in Aneto Cafe (but cannot remember what they played) Was old and upbeat and made for a great atmosphere.
  9. I quite like The Actress - think it is slightly over that price range but great service and not too far from where Homemade was. Different atmosphere to a cafe as well but I do quite like their salads for something a bit different. AJ :)
  10. Salsaboy that just made me laugh so much!! Thanks.
  11. I would have agreed with you Sue until last year when I adopted a rescue cat and she has the longest legs in the world. She is pretty much like the cat in that photo!! Amazingly long legs.
  12. And this also carries on the cat theme and made me giggle. http://chirkup.me/a/10-hilarious-comparisons-of-men-and-cats-in-the-similar-poses.html?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=InterestingThings&utm_campaign=IT227#.UoXfVhovX8E :)
  13. What I hate is when I see a "celeb" who I admire and I really do want to speak to them but I forget what their name is in real life!! Apart from the usual Richard Ayoade spottings or David Haye driving his wife's car, I think my favourite so far was when I saw Ray Stevenson who played the Ukranian Mafia boss Isaak Sirco on Dexter grabbing a quick coffee in Cafe Nero. Would love to have chatted to him but it doesn't feel right saying - hey you're one of my fave baddies from Dexter. :(
  14. Dulwich College has never been busy when I've used it in the mornings. Not sure what evenings and weekends are like, but one thing is that you can only use it in the morning on a Tue and Fri 0615-0800. AJ
  15. Jessie's art is wonderful! I hope she raises a lot with this for a great cause. :)
