  1. Amen to that. Does the Big Man do requests?
  2. SAW. Sadly missed. ;-)
  3. No. Yes. Yes.
  4. I'm so glad that places like this exist and that its refreshingly Irony-free. It looks like a design collaboration between Barbara Cartland & Liberace. As for The Lynch allusion, It does look similar to a Hotel featured in Wild At Heart. Superb and as for the Stud...well, you wont be short of sugarcubes. ;-)
  5. Is that the robust and near flammable 'Dogbolter' oft spoke of in hushed tones amongst the whiskered afiiliates of CAMRA PGC? If so, I'm with you all the way. Dog-rough...erm, ruff.
  6. Motown a Label??? Well, well, well...and yes. Overated.

    BBC news

Britains broken and thats a fact. :'(
  8. Motown...is that a band?
  9. I'm glad they finally got it sorted as they did get a lot of negative coverage on here when the new guy first took over. He seems like a nice chap and I hope it continues to go well for them.
  10. The Herne Tavern always gets good reviews from my Housemate. Seems like they've finally got it down pat.

    bed time

Surely you mean his female alterego, La Westwood.
  12. Oh, I thought they were a form of Savoury Baked Alaska. :-$
  13. Easy to get them from the council you say??? It took the Bilge Eating Bureauchimps 6 flippin' months to deck us out with the full ensemble and then one by one we lost them all to the ether. I've taken to stowing the detritus in my bell bottoms ala The Great Escape and taking a stroll across the Rye leaving a Hansel & Gretel style Rubbish trail behind me. Broken Britain indeed!
  14. I thought I'd wandered into a Tory Party fundraiser the one and only time I've ever visited. Heard great things about the Sunday Lunches though.
  15. Lazarus in Carp form. Did the scales fall from your eyes? Arf.

    Bad Santa

I agree, but a clingfilm teddy bear is still eminently preferable to that unfunny bilge. Anyones birthday coming up? :))

Thats horrendous VBC and perhaps illustrates the yawning chasm that has opened up in your relations with Sis. I got a Peruvian Chorizo. Yum.
  18. Funnily enough the only Springsteen I've ever heard before is his cover of The Seger Sessions, rollicking good fun...oh, and my jibe at The Smiths was meant in jest although I've never been close to developing the near mania of a large section of Smiths fans. Gladioli anyone?
  19. Anything by that Antipodean Gasbag Clive James. Wordwankage ahoy!
  20. The Smiths=The Schmucks. Oasis, humdrumhumdrumhumdrum. Yawn.

    New Who

    So who is it then?
  22. Blimey hes miserable enough without a suicide on his conscience! ;-)
  23. Beatles? Right time right place...erm, right?
  24. Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Just horrible. Dark Side of the Moon remains sublime as does The Stone Roses. Great Albums are few and far between and are usually distinguished from merely good albums as containing no fillers just wall to wall top tunage. Musics entirely subjective though and has fuelled many a row in my household and over an ale. My Brother admitting to being a 'bit of a Coldplay fan' over the festive period was tantamount to a declaration of war and I fear Xmas suffered as a result.
