  1. Depressing.
  2. Thieves and Murderers you say? Yikes...lets all move to Midsommer..um, hang on...
  3. I feel we've all let ourselves down horribly.
  4. Went past on my bike this morning and there was a large section cordoned off. Lots of Police vans and many personnel...any ideas. Looked very serious indeed.
  5. No, thats Dulwich Village. Penge is the one with the Monkey Butlers.
  6. I do make an effort to shop locally but if its a toss up between the shoddily run but reasonably well stocked co-op(forest hill road)or the independent shop just up from the Herne Tavern which although staffed by well mannered and charming people never seems to have much of anything on its shelves then I'm afraid the co-op wins everytime.
  7. I'm moving to Elephant & Castle...for the Elephants and Castles, this place is butters. (td)
  8. ...and Narnia? Wheres Narnia? I feel betrayed...
  9. Yeah, wheres the amusement park I've heard tell of?
  10. Heh, I had exactly the same problem the other day. Took me an absolute age to get all my stuff through the bloody scanners with the help of an overworked and harrassed 14 year old assistant. Rubbish.
  11. Wax on, Wax off.
  12. Pet Cemetary.
  13. There was this one time when my mate told me it was the end of the world and then a vogon constructor fleet hove into view and we were whisked on board and the Vogon Jeltz read us some terible poetry and there was a man who used to be president of the univere who had 2 heads and a manic depressive mechanoid, some Mice and a....oh, hang on. ::o
  14. I did see the Police Cordon up about an hour ago. :(
  15. I think the EDTs showing the Tiddlywinks World Chapionships and The FHT are doing a slideshow of 20th Century Bulgarian Lamposts. ;-)
  16. Dont talk to me about this so called Setanta. Bah!
  17. ...If it aint broke? Playing it as we speak. I think its easily the best game I've played this year. Its incredibly buttock clenching(I've been freaking the household out with bellowed exclamations of outright panic "F**king move!!!" is as sophisticated as it gets). The one qualm I have is the lack of any puzzle solving element although that was largely missing from 4 too and that was simply superb. The Chainsaw Majini make me soil myself every time they burst out of the shadows. Help! http://ps3media.ign.com/ps3/image/article/929/929766/resident-evil-5-20081113105015596_640w.jpg
  18. Sorry SM, just re-read your post and it says pretty much what I've just added. You can sue me for plagiarism if you fancy being paid in pies. :))
  19. Am with you on the Bill Hicks front, premature death always lends a glossy film to the dear departeds canon of work. He did leave behind a fairly flimsy body of work in terms of volume(selfish workshy bastard). Still scans well...though it palls with repeat viewing. I've been listening to a lot of the comedy repeats on BBC7 recently and Hancocks Half Hour in particular still holds up as a genuinely funny sitcom. The Goon Show however I just dont get. Shrill & desperately unfunny. So there.
  20. The same people who brought us the peculiar but compulsive Killer 7? Is it a Wii only release?
  21. Thanks for that *bob*...not sure which is which though. Maybe you as the forums great sage could enlighten me?
  22. Whats Bill Hicks got to do with owt??? You been on the cooking sherry again HB?
  23. Sorry Gan didnt spot this message until now(best to pm as this thread usually sinks without trace). Still up for weekend rides and we could maybe chip in for a decent rack? Let me know either way. Mike.
  24. ...and there I was thinking it was a fairly benign pastime, interactive tv if you like. Are we all still default geeks then?
  25. Someone recommended the series after episode 1(which I watched last night on Iplayer before watching the 2nd on BBC2 last night). Superb satire and after witnessing the near death of comedy whilst enduring the execrable Horne & Corden for a full 45 seconds the other night a welcome tonic. No knob or homophobic gags just well observed stream of consciousness comedy magic. We also have Charlie Brookers Newswipe and the complete Wire(all 5 back to back from next monday)to look forward t. Cant wait, may even go a little way to restoring my faith in TV.
