I must admit, a fight outside a public house isnt exactly the biggest tabloid shocker in the world... but I it's a little too common for some of the newcomers to the area... perhaps we should put caged fencing around working class establishments so that it doesn't offend the oxbridge crew? lol

I was wandering around Somerfield today at around 1:30, and deicded I fancied some cream crackers, went down the aisle and saw a face I was sure I knew.. and it was not until after I had left the store that I remember the face, it was Lizzie the fitness instructor off of tvam, a show which I am sure most of you have chosen to forget about or are too young to remember lol, anyhow, does she live in ED?

Do members of staff in the Blue Mountain have posh accents?

I know people who live in rather large houses near Blackheath Village who do the weekly shop at lidl's... ED is hardly as poncey as BHV!

A J Farmers is a well established shop, you will always get a good bargain there.. my friends nan worked there in the 1930's under the same name of Farmers, and it's changed little since..

I wish people would leave Iceland's alone too, yes they are a chain store, but they are well established on LL and have been ever since the late 70's when it was known as Bejams frozen food shop - and as keef has said, it suits the budget for some people who cant afford to shop in small indepdent shops to get the week's groceries in.

Perhaps not in the immediate it isnt no, but in the long term it certainly is, and once a person has a bad habit they tend to stick to it. I often feel sick walking down the street seeing people spitting out chewing gum and flem filled saliva mouthfulls straight onto the street. Heaven forbid I ever fall over on the street, I will probably have to be put into isolation for a week with people spraying me with all sorts of things.

We all complain about dog poo, but how about we also treat spitting in the street and dropping litter with the same amount of contempt. I find all such habits disgusting and I think it is the responsibility of each individual, whether they be a dog owner, a person carrying litter or someone with a gob full of saliva, to do the appropriate thing and stop being so bloody anti social and lazy!

This was closed down a few months ago now, does anyone have any updates on what is happening to the premises? It is a shop with basement, so perhaps it has the potential to become an Italian restaurant with nice outside seating area... Would certainly spruce up the roundabout area of the lane in my opinion!

The cross dresser person you are refering to is know in local circles as "Bill on the hill" (he lives in a flat top of dog kennel hill) and he regularly dresses up as a female when it takes his fancy. Other times he can be seen wandering around in a bulletproof vest with a long black leather jacket pretending to be a ganster of some description. He claims to know the Richardson and Kray brothers, although I doubt his sencerity.

I agree it would be a great compromise, but H&M have always worked to a big floor space in modern type buildings, I cant see them opening up a store on LL..

I remember the "White Woman", she scared hell of out me on many ocassions. She often frequented the health and beauty store next to Yilmaz Kebab. I was told many years ago she was attacked by a man, and ever since she started wearing white clothing and white face pants.... again very bizarre...

Does anyone know the odd couple who stand together by the roundabout end of LL, I believe they are a couple, anyhow the guy is black and quite tubby, and he usually wears a trilby style hat, he can often be seen walking up and down the lane either talking to himself or random passers by, often stands at bus stop outside seacow... I think the proposed statue on the roundabout should be of him and his bizarre lady friend, they are such characters. Anyone know who I am refering to here?

Was the Rye Hotel not closed down in the mid 90's for sale of drugs on the premises and loads of brawling outside after hours? lol

White Stuff had a link on their page with Dulwich being advertised as a new store opening in March, however, Dulwich has now been removed from their list of new stores opening in the future. Anyone else know more about this?
