The completely defunct and never used bowling green area would be great for tennis courts..

I've lived just off Barry rd for 20 years and believe the speeding is getting worse. At the junction with Upland road with the pelican crossing cars often accelerate through the amber lights. It's terrifying. I've been complaining for years. I joined a speed awareness group on here and together with local police took part in speed camera action. Everyone knows it's a race track but no one seems capable of taking action. It's infuriating.

Hi I saw the guy yesterday afternoon. He's white, medium build, late 50/60's and hairy with a beard. He was wearing a hi vis jacket and looked scruffy. He was loading bits of wood from a skip onto the back of his 3 wheeled bike thing which is kind of like a rickshaw without a roof yesterday afternoon outside a neighbours further down the road. He hung around a bit (I know this as a DHL van was taking forever to deliver yesterday so I was stuck further down the street). I thought nothing else of it until my partner came home last night at about 9.45 saying that a man on a 3 wheeler was speeding down our road with our sons Kettler go kart attached. Not wanting to give chase in case he turned out to be dangerous and wondering whether I'd consented to this meant my partner didn't give chase. It wasn't locked up (as it should have been) as my son had the day before used the lock for his bike but it was clearly not on display or in anyway advertised as a freebie, plus I was in last night and our front gate closed. This guy is a thief and I've reported the theft to the police. Please watch out for him and if he's in your area during the day it's likely he's scoping out stuff in your garden so I guess be aware and lock away kids bikes/scooter or anything else of value.

Christmas Fair - call for stallholders
cazzyr replied to EastDulwicher's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Id be interested. Could I ask how much do you charge stakeholders? Kind regards Carolyn -
Hi I saw this chap outside our house yesterday on Henslowe road and thought he looked a bit dodge. He drives a 3 wheeled makeshift motorised bike. My partner just saw him at the bottom of our street trailing our sons go cart behind him and assumed I'd given it away. I hadn't! He removed it without permission and when my son wakes up he'll be devastated. Anyone know this fella?

Hi I've just had the pleasure of working with Clare Griffin of Miss Fix services, a female gas engineer who did a brilliant job of reviving my knackered old boiler. I also got Clare to replace my Mum's radiators. It's refreshing to have a woman plumber. Thoroughly recommend, clean, v careful and reliable. Claire's number is: 07792 887072

New council vandalism in PR Park? (change of lighting)
cazzyr replied to Lee Scoresby's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I walk every Monday and Thursday respectively for beavers/scouts and find lack of lighting a real issue. I feel unsafe and would prefer to walk in an area where I can see where I'm going. -

Very excited about #WEURO17 semi final match tonight and would like to watch in a friendly pub with a big screen. Does anyone have any suggestions? In ED or dul area. Thanks!

Patryk has just completed working on our front garden. He lay a new patio, removed and re built our front wall and added railings. Patryk and his team are reliable, friendly and very neat workers. He is competitively priced and always goes the extra mile. The best thing about Patryk is his eye to detail and finesse. The finished job looks superb.

cazzyr replied to Huggers's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We have same problem...Southwark 'Let's recycle more' well I would given the chance. Why are blue bins only emptied fortnightly and brown bins weekly?? If once per week for blue bins then a lot of hastle eased. -
Proposed 10km new double yellow lines across Dulwich
cazzyr replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I am DELIGHTED about the yellow lines. Yes yes and yes again. The roads around Goodrich school are horrendous and no one seems to understand that a dropped kerb is not a place to bung your car. Pulling out of junctions is impossible to do safely if your vision is clogged by cars on either side. -

At the bottom of Upland/ Henslowe there is often a gang of Harris lads who have twice stopped me from driving up my road by literally standing in the middle of the road blocking my path. Kids just stand in middle of road fiddling with their genitals.

Does anyone know of an East Dulwich based leisure cycling group? Not paragon style hard core stuff just fun pootling into Kent with a cafe stop somewhere? 20/30 milers?
-
Ah ok. Thanks for clarification katanita. Police unsure if it same person but several incidents reported in that area.

Can I ask why this thread has been 'lounged' - "the place to relax and chat"? I endured a serious and horrible assault and it is important other people know about what is happening on a cycle commute between ED and central London. The police came around this am and have asked if the kind guy who stopped and helped could contact them as a witness. Apparently there have been other similar assaults.
