Same here: our nearly four yr old has started throwing Wobblies after three yrs of being v grown up ... Tantrums and also weepy at nursery. Putting it down to new baby and some building work at home causing upheaval but may also be frustratation as above posts... It is certainly tiring But by sounds of it not unusual! -
How soon should I start looking for a nanny
Piaf replied to j-mo's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Oh I know: so tricky to get just the right set up! I am pondering what best to do to, that's why might be an idea to pool thoughts, if not the actual nanny! Are you back? Around tomorrow? Jude x x -

Hello all I am planning to go to clock house tomorrow (getting a bit sick of their lunch menu but keep thinking we will be picnicking in the park if this weather ever improves)... Hope to see a few there as I am off to France next week so will not be around for a couple of weeks. Jude x -

Views on The Villa nursery (Lyndhurst Grove SE5)
Piaf replied to gm99's topic in The Family Room Discussion
My daughter has been there since November and is 3.5... I am a big fan of the nursery: they have worked really hard at settling her into a new nursery and she has really thrived. She is clearly very attached to the staff and they seem genuinely fond of the children as well as energetic and engaged. One thing that concerned me on joining was that my daughter was one of the oldest and might get frustrated but the staff take time to do age and stage appropriate one on one activities as well as general play. The other concern was large class size especially given the expansion. It's still tricky in terms of getting to know the other children but otherwise it's ok as there are enough staff and space to separate the class into different areas and activities The garden area is great too No nursery or childcare is perfect but I am very pleased with the Villa -

Hi there Gatecrashing from Spring Babies: a few of us tend to meet at the Clockhouse on Thursdays at 12ish but I know that some (me included) are planning on going to baby cinema at the Peckham Plex instead tomorrow... Just in case you went along and noone was there - we are normally and there is a good mix of second and first time mums Jude x -

Morning all I thought I might escape the builders at my house and try the Crooked Well coffee and crumpets baby group this morning. It's the pub at the bottom of grove lane in camberwell. Not positive it is on or what it is like but you never know... It's 10.30 to 12.30 I think. Anyone know what it is like and /or fancy it? Jude x -
Easiest route to Museum of London via public transport?
Piaf replied to Mrs TP's topic in The Family Room Discussion
As above or train to London bridge (step free) then 141 or 21 to moorgate and walk 5 mins to your left. Quickest is Farringdon and walk. Plus there is a child friendly pizza express and cote nearby -
