Fostering unit moved out on Thursday, the place needs a refurb then the new youth offending teams moves in. I am not against this even though our house was burgled by 3 black youths a few weeks ago (our neighbour saw them). They need rehabilitating. -
Check the met police website for updates, procedures and how to apply for compensation. When the tories are in there are riots. Beats me. :-/ Coppers

Dh is a sensible guy and means well. I was out with another friend the other night looking out and helping if needed. Doing nothing is not an option. Setting up a lookout network is another good idea. -
Two of us walked around Peckham this morning, my mate is a journo and we took photos, the damage is worse than i thought, Greggs bakers is completely burnt through (may have to be demolished?), so damage from Burger King going up towards ED side. Broken windows, shutters forced, clothes shops, mobile phone shops, supermarkets broken into. There was talk of a gang meeting at the Plough this afternoon and heading down LL making people panic. We drove that way and there was nothing coming down, they headed toward Forest Hill apparently. Don't know the outcome of that yet (anybody?). Lots of people hanging around ED central (waiting?). We offered help in Peckham and ED. Shops are boarding up windows to be cautious and many shops and cafes are closed. Coop was packed and is staying open they have said. The people are great. But please don't make up stories or spread unconfirmed rumours.

A friend and myself walked the area to help out and kick some butt, one copper holding out the smashed up pharmacy on his own, post office door kicked in, Palmerston window boarded up,londis had 20ish youths in and breaking things up, all bars closed...

Way to go Otta, say hi to Keef and the family, greetings from ED. -
I also thought she was very good Nette. An interesting addition to the team. Loved the way they all scrambled to get the solar powered guy.

Holy macaroni, have Spaghetti and Hugue not got a room yet? Medic needs to do the right thing and save this business, from possible theft.
