I quite agree with nutty. I dont think I have ever seen a smart clean DIY shopfront. Nothing wrong with it the way it is in my opinion. If they DID tart it up then Lordship Lane would really be unique and poncey.
I popped in with a friend just to visit and take a look around and ended up spending nearly ?100 on buying clothes. Lots of people think its bland but I think its a great addition to the parade.I think it will actually bring in more customers even for the other retailers on that stretch selling clothes( celestial and moo too). They said that the next shop next door will be a kiddies clothes or shoe shop and belongs to White Stuff so they will choose the best tenants for the area. Looks like they got a good deal from Parkhill , the freeholders.
The video shop is now called Prime Time before it was Filmnight for a short while and before that Apollo. What has happened to the Apollo chain? One across from Brockwell Park has closed down too. Anyway, the police caught the 17 year old lad with the takings (?70) and he had a real gun. What a plonker
I can't believe (or maybe I have not seen the thread ) that no-one on the forum has mentioned the look of the The White Stuff shopfront . The boarding is down and shopfittings and decor seem in place, boxes of stock everywhere it seems. Its looking good and looks as if it will be opening very soon. K
I think the original idea was the best, Do you post? Only to the east. I have had some funny replies I must say."yes,at the post office" and "at the post box" and some empty gazes. Now who was it that came up with that idea???
Hmmmmm.....Judging from my journeys in the area, it seems to me that alot of forumites (especially the newbies) do not know or recall the secret handshake.... I say " Do you post" you say "only to the east" simple really
Hey BM, The proposed tenant has spent a couple of ?k on surveys etc and its with legals, I cant divulge too much but it will be a few more weeks until something solid can be revealed....Buy this old man Karter a drink and maybe I will tell you. :)-D
Havent posted much these days but this thread is quite relevant . The proposed new coffee shop on Northcross will be rather "poncey" and nice, do you agree Mark?
