  1. The problem I've had is missing post or delayed mail. Thanks for the above e-mail address, that's very useful. I spent a very frustrating half an hour trying to get through to them too.

    Police cars

Thanks popplylucky, I didn't see anyone be arrested but I couldn't believe how many police cars and vans there were.

    OHMYGOD!

No Bigbadwolf, I happened to see Martell1 pretending to be training for the marathon but I've since gathered that she was obviously there under false pretences and was actually spying on this trainer with a very pert bum! I shall be there next Saturday at 11.30 dressed in my very tight lycra all in one!

    OHMYGOD!

So you weren't really practising for your marathon, you were just checking out the talent! How many laps round the park did you do? You looked as if you were on your last legs!

    Police cars

Maybe they've finally caught that peeping Tom!

I go dog walking in the park, can anyone tell me what day and time so I can go and check this walnut bum cruncher out?:))

    Police cars

Does anyone know why there were about 6 police cars/vans in Playfield Crescent today? I'm not normally a curtain twitcher and am just being very nosey!
  8. Thanks, I did report the Lovefilm but they still haven't sent me a royal mail claim form, unless that's also lost in the post!
  9. Just wondering if anyone else has been having a problem with their post recently? I've had several items that have not turned up including a film from Lovefilm, a contract for my new job and my car insurance. I've just spoken to the postman and he doesn't understand why. I guess I'll have to pop into the Silvester Road post office.
  10. I got my card cloned a while back at the garage near Goose Green, since then I'll only ever pay with cash.
  11. I finally had a delivery today but was expecting a film from lovefilm to be delivered on Monday and still haven't received that.
  12. Not without my daughter is one of the best books I've read in a long time and it's a true story. I literally couldn't put it down. They've also made a film out of it but the book is much better.
  13. I heard it from a friend saying that he thought it was a done deal about three months ago. He's pretty convinced so let's hope he's right. I'm not sure when it'll be though.
  14. I've heard that it's definitely going to be co-op taking over.
  15. Just goes to show there are some really decent people out there, well done John.
  16. Thanks allfornun, I would never have though of checking out my house insurance. One thing I've learnt from this experience and that is don't ever bother showing any loyalty to a company as they really don't give a sh**!
  17. Hi all Thank you very very much for all your advice. I've looked at the ACAS website which has also been really helpful. I definitely won't sign anything (unless it's a good compromise agreement which is better than statutory) and from what I gather they have to pay everything they owe on the day you leave which is not what they were intending to do. They thought they could get away with paying next month in the BACS run. Anyway, you've all been really helpful so thanks very much. p.s. Does anyone need a good PA?!
  18. Hi I'm a PA and have just been made redundant after 9 years. We have been told that we will only be getting statutory pay which is pretty shabby in my opinion especially as it's a blue chip organisation who are not likely to go bust. I am trying to push to get a better pay off which probably won't happen but am concerned that on Friday I am supposed to be signing my rights to tribunals etc away. Am I entitled to get a solicitor to look at this at the company's expense? I would be very grateful if anyone has any advice on this. Thanks
  19. So regal looking too. I'm glad she's turned up safe and sound.
  20. Caron Wheeler and the guy from Boney M both used to live in Playfield Crescent (not together though!)
  21. Well said Martell and I think you're doing an amazing job organising all these things! Sorry I couldn't make it but it was the fancy dress do at the club on the same night. Hopefully will see you soon? x
  22. He was in the Old Nun's head having lunch with his family yesterday!
  23. I would if I had a record player! I shall get my albums from the loft and blow away the cobwebs and go and visit the lovely John. I wondered why they wouldn't serve me a pint in the Cheltenham & Gloucester, I'll go to the Dog in future. Thanks for the tips
