Perhaps the idiots at Fuxtons thought the neighbour's roof terrace would enhance the property as it's Ms Barkers!
  2. Not yet apart from the big boys anchoring key sites like Westfield in west London. Have heard some landlords are keen to discus turnover rents to incentivize (spl?)
  3. I'm currently looking for retail sites for an established business. Your friend will find it difficult to negotiate a good lease deal as a start up but the empty unit market at the moment is certainly a retailer?s one. I've been offered up to 18 months rent free and cap ex contributions and I'm not talking about Starbucks or Cafe Nero but a small established 2 store business. In short the offer has to be different enough to hook the landlord, not another me too / Roullier White/ Mrs. Robinson. If your friend is trying to sell premium products I think you?ll find NCR market hard work, punters need the ?credibility? of a shop to part with real money. Good luck with the venture. I can second SteveT?s post, on the money.

I second FD Had a call from their fraud dept. on Saturday to say as I was in Threshers on LL at 7.30 Friday night they guessed it wasn't me dropping ?60 in Tunis at the same time!
  5. Interesting post. As already mentioned part of the Le Chardon/erstwhile Green group. As most will know the service at the Green was shite. The last time I entered Le Chardon the staff argued amongst themselves to such a degree we thought it was the floor show. It's clear the staff training / customer care in these "establishments" are non existant. It suprises me that in the current economic climate some retailers are not bending over backwards to assist customers.
  6. keep an eye out and if in a few days a bowler hat appears on top of a freshly filled hole we'll have the rozzers onto Bernard!
  7. Squeezed into Ganapati week before last , on top form as usual, good service, food you can identify on the plate. Also managed a T/A from Babur last week, our prefered home delivery ruby.
  8. First two both from an Aussie. ?Madder than a cut snake? ?A face like a hat full of busted c**ts? My favorite, ?a face like a bulldog licking piss off a stinging nettle?

  10. My point was maybe not clear. My son was allowed to fall through the net at Charter due to his learning difficulties, Dyslexia, Dysphasia etc. We had him assessed privately before the Charter accepted he had special needs. If you son is a ?straight A? academic, he?ll do fine.
  11. Libby, If your son is academic, then yes Charter will work for him, if on the other hand a creative, tread carefully. My son has learning difficulties and attended Charter until last year. He was suspended for 3 days two weeks prior to leaving for having a pink streak of hair, when I challenged that decision with the then head Mr. Bowler he said ?he stands out, and it?s a disruption". When I pointed out several other students both boys and girls with dyed hair he had no argument but insisted my son remained off school until the dye (non permanent) was out. This was during exam week. He is now at the BRIT school and flying.
  12. Given the deep forecourt I would suspect a cafe or similar subject to A3 use, noticed it's dropped off Hindwoods list. Also noticed Chopsticks lease is up for sale.

Excuse me must go shopping." > > Lots of places do not sell Green and Blacks > anymore as they sold up and now are owned by > cadburys or nestle, cant remember which > (unethical) For the record G & B are now wholly owed by Cadbury but Cadburys do not make their products. The organic bars are made in Italy (check the label), truffles in Switzerland, and some of their organic eggs are made in the UK. G & B never owed a production plant they are a very clever marketing company. The founders now run Judges Bakery in Hastings. http://www.judgesbakery.com/who.php
  18. Thanks Chi Chi, At the risk of being the new "Wicker Man" on Goose Green, better than an empty shop.
  19. Excuse me if this has been covered elsewhere, does anyone have the lowdown on the corner shop currently under refit on Upland Road? The old Design Six shop diagonally opposite The Ideal Caf?.
