A friend of mine sent this email to his local Cllr. Makes a lot of sense to me. No response , suspect not action will ever happen. The P13 is a valuable and very necessary bus route to many many people. "Dear Cllr Ali Could you use your exalted position as Deputy leader of Southwark Council to post on the Dulwich Forum when the P13 is running or not running. Perhaps you or one of your staff could have a call on or prior to bus strike days from TFL to enable them or you to post on the Dulwich Forum if there is a bus to serve the local residents. If the p13 is not running many people, who you represent are marooned unable to get to the shops. As local Cllr perhaps you could do this simple but important service. Is that not possible? I look forward to hearing from you."

Grove Vale (no longer) closed off to all traffic

Having many of the roads closed off will not help traffic go else where. -

New Shops in Dulwich / Peckham
richard tudor replied to LondonMix's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
After living here for almost 76 years it has always be Lordship Lane and Rye Lane. Never heard these new names being used but I am an old fossil. In fact most times you used just past the roundabout if you meant Lordship Lane. Same as Bellenden Road not Bellenden Village. Still things have to change to give places a sense of importance. -

It would have messed up the cricket match and other social parties. -

The P13 is back on its redirection from Bellenden Road to Peckham. Does it never stop? -

Perhaps the Cllrs might like to throw some light on how true this is.

So what you are saying there never was a snow balls chance in hell of these traffic regulations every being cancelled no matter what the arguments they should be. -

The only thing that is dangerous is cars could lower the value of houses. How did did children manage to survive before? -

If memory serves me correct was Dulwich Common not closed a short while ago that caused chaos. Why has Southwark Council not got a standby plan knowing the result from this incident that could have been implemented Perhaps their plan is to cause as much chaos as possible to bring in yet more plans to get rid of cars. -
What is quite interesting is Jasmine Ali, Deputy Leader and one of the Cllrs for this part of the world, who also lives just off Rye Lane has not put her name down to attend. First hand knowledge on the situation. Then again she nevers answer any emails on this subject particularly as to whether the P13 will be reinstated on its original route. Surly Cllrs like this should be in attendance?

I have been holding on at number 1 to book a telephone consultation for 23 minutes. DMC Crystal Palace Road. Just been answered 30 minutes at no 1. Its a joke. -
That's because it does not run on its original route. Leaves the bus garage then goes along Peckham Road, into Lyndhurst Road and then into the Bellenden one way system, Missing out the Rye lane part into Chadwick Road. As the Deputy Leader of the Council lives in Chadwick Road perhaps they do not want to have a bus route. The original route was instigated for a reason. People.

Was this petrol queue for the goose green petrol station? Dogkennelhillbilly Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yep > alice Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > So if car use switched to bikes in then > > Bets we?re told how come the queues for petrol > are > > so long? > Huh? When I was in the garage yesterday around 1330 waiting to fill up they came out and closed the pump. How come they have managed to get fully stocked so quickly? What I did notice was the price of petrol had gone from the middle 1.30's the day before to I think 1.48 a litre on this day. Feel sure my memory is correct but could be wrong but I have this figure in my brain. When this garage first opened many years ago it was the cheapest in the area now it is the dearest only to be used in an emergency. How times have changed.

How will the ULEZ be enforced in ED?

Which like LTN will see a great influx of traffic which again will move the problem to another area. The whole thing has not been sensibly thought through. ?? in Southwark's eyes only
