I have lived in the area for almost 75 years, my grandparents lived in the area since the early 1900 as did my parents, unfortunately the area has lost its soul and now seems to have been taken over by the young who know it all, no experience in life, just moved in and if you do not agree with their views you are wrong. Woe be tide you if of the same generation you will suffer banishment from twitter or what ever social media they all communicate through, never to be heard of or spoke to again for not agreeing. Do not let them drive you out. When they get older they will realise what pratts they really are or were. Still when we are gone our history will wiped from the history books.

Did the residents of ED/LL ever worry about this. I cannot remember they did.

Will Southwark Council charge for parents who have children at the above schools to park or will it be another perk most of us will not be entitled to have should we want to use the park for personnel use?

Wrong my friend

Also a Macdonald's, Burger King, KFC and a large graffitti wall for the children and a small skateboard park in one corner. Should keep everyone happy. Locals can then have the village square all to their selves

Waited for the P13 towards Streatham this morning none came but 3 came one behind the other towards New Cross. Dont think this is reliable. Is there a problem around the East Dulwich area.

Chunx wrote "I am also not suggesting to ban walking etc from the main 30MPH Roads, but hell people need to learn road safety and how to cross roads etc again like this ol fart did." "That would mean they would have to take responsibility for their own actions and not be wrapped in cotton wool like now. It also means they would have nobody to blame if or take legal action against for their mistakes." Cannot let that happen.

Request a Bike Hangar on your Street

Which like the radio mast in Chadwick Road which was rejected by by a very large % the cllrs just used their vote to say yes regardless of the views of their residents who opposed. Cllrs are not planning but will follow and vote for the party line leanings, as shown by the above. Most residents never get to hear of any planning information. -
When did Dale Foden become a Cllr? not seen any confirmation of this from Southwark. If he is who does he represent/Ward.

Pedestrianization of Lordship Lane
richard tudor replied to mco6215's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
"it's a great example of a big statement, rushed through without really thinking about the consequences for shops and customers and then a half-arsed compromise which isn't being supervised or looked at by Southwark." You have not mentioned no one can get to Rye Lane or leave from Rye Lane because there are no buses. There are many of us who have great problems walking. Ask our local Cllr and she never replies. When pressed you get I will take it up with the Council. She is the deputy leader. Then no answer. -
Speaking with a friend he told me that his son who lives outside of london but has been coming through DV for the past 8 days has just been informed that he has been fined on every day. He had no idea you could not go north. He said he did not see the signs and just followed the flow of traffic. When he was told told he looked and said it was impossible to see these signs unless you were looking for them. So 8 days pay going to Southwark in fines to keep Dulwich residents in their bubble of peace. Just how much is this scheme fleecing people?

I thought you only got charged if you actually had the wheels moving in or though the ULEZ zone. Thought the cost was ?12.50 each time you drove.Hope you are wrong.

How much influence did Peter W weld in getting Champion Hill Closed? Which meant people had to go on a round the houses route to get to Denmark Hill. A road that was mostly unused after rush hour was over. A road that will remain closed for nother 18 months because they need new figures. If Townley Road can be closed for a nominated period why can Champion Hill not have the same. Peter W, Mr Barber any comments.

Goose Green roundabout damage 1st March

How many times has this roundabout been smashed? -
How many of these people are OAP's on a pension or others that need a car for work but cannot afford to replace their car. In town I can accept but within the north and south circular roads, no. "Perhaps the ULEZ will lead to a step change when many round here face the decision of whether to replace the car - from casual looks down the street well over half the parked vehicles are not compliant."

If it had not appeared in a Dulwich Forum thread, I suspect nobody would have known about it. Which is Southwark's way these days

This evening I was informed that the large telephone mast in Chadwick Road has been approved. 69 residents sent objections in and 10 were for the mast. The purpose of this thread is to ask whether it is worthwhile now taking the time to cast a vote on any project in Southwark It was also mentioned that local Cllrs voted in favour even though residents told them they were against this mast. I was under the impression that local Cllrs were there to listen to the voice of residents. I was wrong. Southwark will do whatever they want regardless of any consultation. When I requested Cllrs to keep me informed I never heard a word from them.

Has anyone received and managed to get an appointment yet? I received a text to call, got through and was no 32 to be answered. When through was told no appointments available all gone. You will have to wait to see when other appointments allocated, could give no indication when this would be. This despite being in the at risk class and emailed about appointments a week ago. Surely if you are contacting people these appointments should be already allocated and are only to be confirmed not to be told all gone. Does seem like potluck and needs the surgery to have some kind of workable system.

What does 'no through road' mean
richard tudor replied to Cora's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Rockets. You seem to have your finger on the pulse regarding this. Is there a very simple map showing where all these bus gates and no through roads are. Thought I understood but reading your last post do not drive in Dulwich Village from College Road past the roundabout has thrown me. Does that mean I cannot come from Red Post Hill past North Dulwich Station into College Road coming the other way. I used to drive to Dulwich Park through the Village does this now mean this is out of bounds. Thanks
