  2. This meeting would have been known for sometime as the agenda would have to been agreed. Why only now is Cllr Barber telling people on the day of the meeting? Who can just drop things and atten Rather like the 20 mph limit slotted in at the end of the manifesto.
  3. Do you ever do anything that is not allowed?
  4. Southwark want this so it will as you say be last and will get passed through on the nod. Doubt Barber and co will say a word against it. Doubt many people will even know it is happening.
  5. How is this 10 m calculated. Is it 5 m each side of the corner
  6. Are you saying that the Cllrs as usual can step back and not engage with the wards. So if free money is available Southwark will grab it. And if Cllrs are pro cyclists they will keep mum if it upsets their agenda. The whole process stinks
  7. Called following this post as we were going to eat there but seems it is closed for moment. Any idea what happened?
  8. Because this this is a road that is used by traffic to the builders yard. Not a space/private drive on your property.
  9. Yes. As it seemed to be an area no one could put forward an answer. So according to you there is no problem dropping someone off?
  10. It did have have choices that people wanted 20 years who lived in the area but not the precious choices the new residents want now. Not much has changed

  12. richard tudor Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Cllr Barber is not the only Ward Cllr. What I should have added if Cllr Barber is otherwise engaged the other Cllrs should take up the slack and respond. One will never post and the other will only post when it scores points. Thought they were all elected to look after the ward.
  13. I suspect the truth is Southwark has lost many experienced officers in their reorganising to save money and are employing cheaper less experienced staff. This could be happening right across the Council. How many very experienced senior officers have gone?
  14. By the scaffolders or Southwark for not being up to the job and accepting what they are told. Seems like lack of experience to me. Kids doing a mans job
  15. Why is it that many of these consultation days always seem to be a short notice? The Bellenden Road Consultation was the same. Bad communication and even bad sign posting of the open days. Signs in out of the way positions and no information from local Cllrs. Accept that Southwark has a plan they want to push through all over the Borough and lack of communication works in their favour and those in the loop pushing the party line. Get used to it
  16. If a private road puts down double yellow lines A. who is responsible for painting them on the road and does Southwark make a charge if they do it. b. Is permission required from Southwark to do so c. Is a TMO required to be posted I look forward to you answer
  17. It bothers me that someone who has moved in knowing full well the use of the road now is trying to alter the status quo on land she does not own. I suspect that this has more to do with getting markers down to stop development of some of railway cottages and any points to prevent this will be welcome. If the developer wants to enforce strict no stopping they should put a security guard there 24/7 I cannot believe that dropping and stopping happens 24/7. I seem to recall someone mentioned she had no problem with people stopping for the tyre shop?
  18. Dropping someone is anti social? It happens on every street. Please grow up and live in the real world

Will be interesting to read your answer
  20. If the resident asked Cllr Barber for a barrier he would jump at the chance to organise a consultation to arrange. Mention CPZ and possible cycle route done and dusted It's a non important road.
  21. Is this all to do with the development of the old garden site and possible redevelopment of the unlisted and of no architectural merit railway houses? Laying down a precedent for the planning committee in the future?
  22. Could admin put up the full thread, minus of course what they feel is wrong if need be, so we can follow the whole story
