That's the grey and white one I know. He's fairly calm these days, I think he's getting old.

Ah not one of mine then, mine are both bengals, one small and one huge (but dopey). There is a grey and white cat at the bottom end of Court Lane but he doesn't seem to wander far. Sorry can't think of any others, hope they give up soon!

where are you on Court Lane? I'm on the corner of Druce Road and one of my cats keeps going missing for 48hours and coming home with bitten ears and lots of small injuries. Just wondering if this is connected and if my cat, then I might be able to work out where he's going. He's neutered though so wouldn't be mating, more like scrapping.

Worked for a large concert promoter in my 20's, had to be the guest list booth person at a lot of large concerts for no extra pay, it was supposed to be a perk. I have never encountered so much abuse in my life, people were vicious if the tickets weren't what they were expecting or name wasn't there etc. I even got spat at right in the face once. It doesn't sound too terrible compared to everyone else, but I hated it and can't stand crowds at all these days!

6th Form Recommendations
chuff replied to northlondonergonesou's topic in The Family Room Discussion
My son is at Charter, he's decided he wants to keep his place there as he's doing well, has great teachers and feels he would rather be in an environment he knows well to tackle A Levels. Kingsdale is the only other school on your list that we looked at and it just wasn't for us but I know lots of people love it. -
There are lots and lots of reasonable people that use the park and a handful of unreasonable and entitled people. The title of this thread isn't great though! I think i'm going to talk to the Park Keepers about the signs and see if anything can be done (I'm in there twice a day). Maybe if everyone knows where they can do things and where they can't then it makes it a bit easier. I only commented on this thread as there were a lot of people that thought the main path through was dogs on leads. I agree that dog owners should be aware of their dogs and what they're doing. I personally don't want either of my dogs to hurt anyone or get hurt but sometimes they do stupid things, like chase squirrels and change direction suddenly. My kids were a menace when younger with changing direction too....

Hi Rendel One of my dogs is disabled, she has to go in a pram (it looks ridiculous). It also means I have to stay on the path or the road mostly. If the ground is very dry then we can use the outside track and stay out of the way but since Thames Water have diverted a lot of the ground water, it's becoming increasingly difficult to use that outer track. I'd love to stay away from the banana bikes, too many bashed ankles to mention.

Yes Taper, that's how I've interpreted the byelaws pdf. I have two dogs, kids, bikes and all the annoying things you can encounter in a park so made a point to check the rules. I actually had a similar situation to the OP but it was my stupid little dog not looking the right way. A young child was bombing it along on his bike being clapped by his parents and my dog was standing in his line which caused him to panic and fall off. She didn't go up to him, she was just looking the other way and didn't move. I apologised even though it wasn't really my dogs fault and the parents were fine, acknowledged he was actually cycling too fast as he'd just started riding and everything was fine. Mostly people are fine, accidents happen etc

Rendellharris Just wanted to let you know that dogs are allowed off lead on the path and the 'road'. Have a check on the Southwark bye laws document. The on lead areas are the central areas by the cafe and the pond and sports pitches when in use. The path and road are for everyone, yes it can be chaotic at times but generally people muddle along and apologise for any mishaps. The banana bikes for me are the most dangerous thing! Anyway, not wanting to start an extra argument, but I have noticed a lot of people think that dogs are meant to be on a lead on the main pathway. Signs are very misleading in Dulwich Park.

We've got a wall sized mirror in our dining room that is open to the kitchen, it adds lots of different angles and quite often people have gone to walk through it. I love it.

Mugging at 5pm last night ( Acacia Grove near Alleyn Park)
chuff replied to sarahmak's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
My 16 year old was mugged 2 weeks ago at knife point in the daytime. -
We built a false wall at the back of the kitchen and housed the fridge freezer in the centre then doors either side to washer/dryer and a pantry cupboard on the other side. They are larger spaces than usual kitchen cupboards so you can actually stand inside but not a true utility room.

There are a quite a few pointers in rescue in Cyprus, they certainly look like german shorthairs but could be anything really. Worth a look as these dogs desperately need homes and I can vouch for the charities, having a pointer mix from them myself. Easy adoption process and lots of support. Have a look at cy2uk on facebook.

Dog attack in Belair Park, 06/12/17 at 1.00pm

I've seen her walking through the village and frequently in Dulwich Park, but not for a good few weeks. I have two small dogs, one of which is a dachshund but thankfully her dog/dogs have always ignored mine. She should muzzle them, at the very least to save herself the upset of having her dog put to sleep, not to mention the injuries and expense of the other dogs and owners. Madness. -

I honestly don't get why people don't muzzle their dogs if they show any aggression to people or other dogs. Really don't understand at all! -
That's awful and like above poster, glad they're safe. A list would be a good idea, I'm sure people would be willing to donate.

I don't live within distance to hear the noise from my house so doubt me complaining to them would help anyone. Was out walking the dog when I saw/heard it. I expect everyone on Gilkes will report it though as it's loud!

I walked past earlier and the generators were extremely noisy. I think there were 3 going. The noise would drive me mad if I lived next to it. Apart from a dog tied up outside barking though there didn't seem to be much else going on.

I have heard stuff about the site but not that they are turning it into flats. There are flats above that the Estate is refurbing and doing some work to the side access. I had one of the flats and have just given it up. The garage at the top of Boxall Road is a possibility for flats I would think rather than the actual shops. Rumours are a supermarket chain eventually but who knows if this is actually true.
