  1. A few cans and a hip flask should sort that out annaj!

I suspect the transparency in house prices has contributed considerably, but the economic 'crash' this time around is also quite different than before in that the bank lending was cut off dramatically, rather than interest rates increasing overnight.
  3. macroban - agree, this cannot possibly be an obstruction since it's private property. If you were to become a 'paid' worker at the garden centre (perhaps your 'pay' can be linked to the number of coffee's you sell!), then it would technically mean that the garden centre would in fact be selling the coffee (since this is secondary to what they sell, I'm fairly sure this is allowed under their A1(?) trading licence). There is no sub-letting going on and your pay with the garden centre is of no business of the councils (perhaps the tax man though!). I'm sure you can get around this. Loopholes are clearly in existence here, but it depends how much you want to push it and how much the garden centre want to help you in your cause...
  4. Do I sense a bar crawl....?
  5. I can see the need for shuttle buses - those that don't stop at every lamp-post. I think this could be a much cheaper alternative and one that could work well given adequate bus lanes. However, you'd need a frequent service to make this work and a tram is always going to be faster, since it'll never get stuck in traffic. In my opinion, there are too many bus stops, which makes the service inefficient. With obvious exceptions, people should generally be prapared to walk an extra few minutes to the nearest bus station. I think this could cut down on journey times quite considerably.
  6. I don't trust myself after 3am ;)
  7. Rye Hotel gets my vote, closely followed by Mag (never even went to the old one)!
  8. Were they all folded length-ways?
  9. Mogs - you need to say it slightly faster, but breath slower and in rhythm. Finally, all will become clear...
  10. Someone just couldn't resist mentioning buggies could they! lol
  11. Mark - I think you're right. Also, I think shops own land above the basement area, so a basement cover would also indicate the same thing as the studs. Surely if you're trading on someone else's land with their permission, then you're ok? Any lawyers on here?
  12. How about the Yummy? Set it at 5 yummies to the pound.
  13. I think you'd need a licence to trade on public land Ladygooner ...
  14. I've had nothing but good experiences there with both the Doctors and nurses. Booking an appointment in advance can be a long wait (in comparison to private practises), but other than that I would recommend. I'm not sure if there is more than one nurse, but the one I saw for my screening was really friendly. She asked me questions about where I work etc, but I think those are standard life-style questions. If you have private medical insurance, remember to always tell the Doctor before any referral, as this can really speed things up!
  15. Is there any way you can bypass it are wire directly to the mains? If so, maybe you can get away with hiring a small generator, or paying a local shop for some borrowed mains? Just a thought...
  16. Apparently there is a new version out now called Tantrix X. I'm not sure what the online version is like?
  17. Yes, customer details were taken. To date though, what Sean said!
  18. A day goes by, as does another kebab and wine too many. It was great to meet you all last night, finally! Looking forward to the next one. Mark and Sean - I owe you a beer! Right, off for hair of the dog...
  19. iPhone update - adventure closed. Drinking in the back room of the kebab place. Lost everyone!
  20. A drug dealer is making a living also, so I don't follow that logic. There are absolutely no qualifications required to be an estate agent for one. It's a completely unskilled, unprofessional, unregulated profession dealing with a persons largest expense in most cases (their home). That's just one reason. Anyway, let's not get into another Estate Agent debate. Firstly it's off topic and secondly, you don't stand a chance! -------- So, I'm up for trying out Adventure later on tonight after kicking off at The Duke. What time is last orders?
  21. Chance of making it out of bed tomorrow morning - 1%
