  1. Hi all, Im afraid Muddy Boots won't be running tomorrow morning 10-11.30am. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. It will run as usual on Monday 16th and Friday 20th onwards. Please tell any friends who might have been planning to come this Friday. Really sorry again for having to cancel this Friday's session. I hope to see you at the next one and enjoy the amazing weather in the mean time! Best Wishes Holly
  2. Muddy Boots - outdoor nature group for 1-5yrs at Devonshire Road Nature Reserve Warm and sunny at Muddy Boots tomorrow! We'll be looking at worms and insects and getting hands-on making a wormery (or two), so we need some good diggers to come and help build it and find the worms to put inside! See you tomorrow 10-11.30am. You may need to bring your suncream, but we'll have our snack and story in the shady woods if we get too hot digging. See you there! Holly
  3. Hi, Is it possible to post a facebook link on a thread? Im trying to post the Muddy Boots todder group facebook page link but it wont work. It seems to change it to the basic facebook website automatically. Any tips? Thanks v much! Holly

This Friday's session will go ahead as normal and then we'll be back on Monday 2nd June/ Friday 6th June onwards. Hope to see you there! I've set up a new Facebook page for Muddy Boots where I will post any updates about dates and new sessions running. Just search on Facebook for 'Muddy Boots'. Best Wishes Holly
  5. Hi, Its open to all ages. They pretty much all like playing around in the mud, looking at the tadpoles and wandering in the woods. Its not very good for buggies in the woods tho. Its drop in, so you're very welcome to come and try and see how you get on. Best Wishes Holly
  6. Muddy Boots outdoor pre-school nature group has an unavoidable time change tomorrow Friday 9th May. Instead of 10-11.30 it will run at 1.30-3pm. From Monday 12th onwards the sessions will return to being at 10-11.30am. Apologies for this unavoidable change (there is another event happening at the Reserve), please PM or email me [email protected] if you need further info. Best Wishes, Holly at the Devonshire Road Nature Reserve
  7. Spring has sprung in the lovely Devonshire Road Nature Reserve (in Forest Hill) and 'Muddy Boots' the popular Outdoor Nature and Gardening Club for pre-school children is back! There are currently two Muddy Boots sessions run by Holly - Monday and Friday morning 10-11.30am (term time). Activities will give young children a hands-on chance to explore nature - looking at pond life, learning about bees, discovering different plants & trees, going on mini-beast hunts. There will be digging, planting seeds, watering, (later on harvesting), the opportunity for a walk in the woods to listen to birds and look for butterflies. The session will include a snack/drink time and finish up with a story-time and some songs or poems. Starting on Monday 28th April, the sessions cost ?6 per child and ?4 for siblings. The sessions are initially running on a drop-in basis, but its useful to contact me before you come incase the group is getting full up. If you'd like to have a chat or more information beforehand please contact Holly on [email protected] or 07919 077198, or message me on EDF. The Nature Reserve is on Devonshire Road in Forest Hill, not far from the Horniman Museum. For more information about the Reserve visit www.devonshireroadnature.org We hope to see you there! Holly

  11. Hi, Ive been searching for this info on the forum for a list of Montessori registered nurseries/preschools and have found Half Moon Montessori and Dulwich Montessori (and Cherry Tree on Lacon Road tho not sure how much this actually follows Montessori?) Could anyone let me know if there are any other Montessori nurseries local to East Dulwich/Forest Hill please. Also as I know theres often big variations, if anyone has an indication to how closely they follow the Montessori teaching technique Id be really intersted to hear. Thanks very much
