  2. Light on Dumyat Is very good. Remember it well from my childhood as Dumyat is a hill from where I am from. Our school trips used to go to the top. Think girls will enjoy it as well as boys.
  3. This years gents champion runner was a marine (what chance did we have). The ladies winner was an overseas entrant from the USA. Names are a bit hazy! Thanks all. Now watching the other Olympic event.

  12. Indeed SJ, and according to my pinecones, weather looks like it will be fine (always is on race day!). 72 runners last year, think we may top that this year. We're gonnae need a bigger bear! We will be in Plough from noonish, but expect "runners" and their support teams to arrive fom 1ish upto 2.30 when the list needs to be closed for set up at the Clockhouse. Aim for the Barry gun to go aff at 3pm (or there abouts) We have considered the use of BOOBS (Barry Ordering Of Bevvy System) this year, so will see how that works. Normal rules of the road apply. See youse at the start and or finish lines...till then: Lasers set tae MALKY.......Charge! StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not long now, not long at all. 13. This Saturday...usually a sedate, East Dulwich day out! Should be a good way to meet a few folks I'd say, and the sun always shines on race day! http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,863775
  14. JJF,you dont need to run it. Usually a good few spectators at both Plough & Clockhouse ends, shadow runners if you like!. Very relaxed session and good times can be had. Im doing the admin this year and always welcome a hand with that side of things. Not that I've done it before. Sun shines on race day, could be the only time this summer. If you do decide to come, say hello, it be Barry tae see you.. jumpinjackflash Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > OK thanks. 15. I'm not a family roomer, but doesn't look like anyone in here is going. I'm going with a few of the boys. We too have hired a Campervan, Brian, who is Biege. We are setting off tomorra morning after breakfast in the Sunshine Caf at Bar Story. Hoping for dry weather!
  16. Dulwich Hamlets used show some boxing. Dont know if it's still the case. ETA: I have also watched boxing in the EDT in the past
  17. Oh....and congrats to Jonathan Marray, Gents doubles winner.
  18. He's the same age as Djocko and reckon him and Murray will move into the top 2 as Rodge le podge moves into retirement phase and Nadal knackers his knees and body. He's not a million miles away from a slam IMHO, needs to work a bit on 2nd serve and converting breaks when they matter. Lendl will be a good influence if they stick together on it. Still a good tourney for Murray I reckon and next year, a slam awaits. Feds movement yesterday was a joy to watch, but Murrays no slouch either.
  19. Pretty handy at Gliding and bowling all the same...and squash.
  20. *pulls up chair, gets popcorn etc, etc, etc...*
  21. And Bowling (and gliding) deserve to be in the Olympics...mibees.
  22. Shame, over by the time I got off the bus. Still good British effort eh no!
  23. Makin my way back tae ED, on 63 bus, rye hotel bound and a wee bitty gassed havin watched the match thus far at kings cross station. I think my old club mate could do it * drops name as Murray drops serve*
  24. PR.....bowling? Is that it, although think it maybe in the Olympics.
