Generally on Virgin Trains the unreserved carriage is E. Sit here even if you have a reservation. Most folks now book on line and automatically get a reservation. People being people will insist on sitting in their reserved seat even if the rest of the carriage is empty, and usually for me it's a portly businessman who insists on cramming his carcass next to me. Not for me, I'm in E stretching out and laughing at them!

When buying a round of drinks (its never that large with me RD!) always order the Guiness first. By the time the rest has been poured your Guiness will be perfect and ready for collection and or drinking.

At train station toilets, always push the turnstile first before slotting your 30p in. Most times the gate is open. Pee for free my friends...

  15. More likely Hoopers, Ivanhoe Road.

  22. Wasnt a million miles away! The Olympics was a massive lift for Muzz and that confidence carried forward last night. Fricking great achievement and now see Djocko and Murray taking those top 2 slots. Nadals game will just take its toll on his knees... Last nights result of course now relegates me to Stirlingshires 2nd greatest sporting export!... 25. Went 2 weeks ago on a Saturday (Bank Hol weekend). Got train round noon from London Bridge, platform 5. They are usually long trains and if you walk toward the front, right up the platform away from the stairs its usually quieter than the scrum near the stairs on the platform. When I went had a seat for 4 no probs. Depends how many carriages on train. Nowt worse than standing way up the platform then the train stops short! Ask the platform staff where the train stops and if its worth doing the walk up the platform.
