If it gets so bad transport if up the creek and you are able/its not too far defo do the walk as SJ/ Jeremy say. Did it a couple years ago into Bermondsey Street. Wellies, thick socks and it was brilliant. Peaceful and nothing (apart from a deep fried pizza amongst other things) beats the crunch of fresh snow under your feet.

Fried Pizza supper, chip onion and bottle of Irn Bru (has to be a glass bottle)is pretty, pretty, pretty good. Needs a good topping of salt and a splash of vinegar to be fully enjoyed.
