  1. Squash. New developments in scoring and TV make it slightly more viewer friendly, still looks easy on TV, hard when playing though. Is that it? 2. I know Loz, was just drawing parallels to the Murray effect. British when winning, Scottish when not. Anyway...back on topic, there is no Scottish, Welsh or N Irish beer at the Olympics.
  3. British beer Loz, while it's liked, Scottish when it's not! *back to the tennis* Loz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Isn't that (gasp) Scottish? And not lager?
  4. Latitude, in a VW Campervan, wi Bob and the boys, next week.
  5. The milk thats always spilled on the cash machine outside Barrys. Ive wonderd how its always there. Tutted even. Only last saturday I touched it and discovered its just the plastic thats worn away.
  6. The Brakes might get put on... Salsaboy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Just spit it out. What's the worst that can > happen???
  7. I often wonder the same about users of the Forum who hit the donate button.
  8. Indeed EP, its very much in the spirit of the BBRR. It will nae doubt be awarded sometime after midnight on the 21st July. There are a lot of stops enroute. Not officially organised (in keeping with the spirit of the BBRR) the HoT were going to knock up a Barry Barry Rum for the day. I could well seek refuge in there for a few hours prior to the finish line...The Barry Black T is in my sights!
  9. I?m in possession of 4 Barry Black T's. Going for my 5th this year...
  10. Is Fifty Shades of Grey out already? Cazz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Last time I went to Peckham it was dirty.

    Euro 2012

I have several International Caps. The Fez being my favorite.
  12. They only appear once a year (bit like those black flying ant things) round these parts. I'd say July 21st, around 3pm this year. Don't know why. Just a hunch...
  13. A lot of Highland Spring in the picture.
  14. Good stuff Charlotte_C (dusty? thats no way to treat a lady!), and good to see you defending the title. There could be some stiff competition in the ladies event this year. Some useful athletes from North of the border are due to compete. Spectators can enjoy the atmosphere and encourage the runners at both ends (so to speak) Ladies if they wish can have a bottle or half-pint. If Team Project London Health are coming, dont forget 2 cans of Stella for arm toning @The Great Exhibition - nice idea but its quite shambolic as it is without adding another layer of complexity to the day. I wouldnt be surprised if you see runners/spectators at some point during the day however. As always we never know exactly who will turn up but we look forward to welcoming you to the Olympic Barry Barry Road Race 2012. Till then...Lasers set tae malky.....CHARGE! 15. 4 weeks to race day. Aim to get going at 3.00pm from the Plough. Drinks orders in by 2.30 please to enable set up at the finish. Runners get their own at the start and a tenner is levvied for finish drinks, with left over change going to MS Society. Some of us will be in the Plough from noonish and keen students of the race may like to know a break down of the handicaps from last year to enable them to tailor their last minute training schedules: Pints: Guiness x 5 Lager x 20 ALe x 36 Cider x 9 Shorts: Whisky x 6 Gin x 2 Vodka x 16 Rum x 2 Drambuie x 1 Jagermeister x 14 Sambuca x 8 Tia Maria x 1 Tequilla x 16 White Russian x 1! Hope to see you at the start, all welcome and the sun shines on race day. Normal rules of the road apply. The champion runners will be presented with the Barry and Barriet Bears (if they turn up!), and in this Olympic year we have reverted back to true amateur status. (no prizes as far as we know, other than the glory!)
  16. Maxxi, Space Raiders every time, heritage, taste and value. They can also be used to recreate The Scream by Monster Munch...
  17. 20p now RosieH, Transforma snacks come in at 30p. Had a tatse test the other day (pickled onion). Apart from building your Transforma snack into a robot, was not that impressed. Space Raiders still edge it for me.

  22. Is there not a BBQ area in Peckham Rye Park. Could have sworn I have seen an area with tables and benches and half sawn oil drum BBQs for public use. Might be a different park all the same.
