If you're going to feed them this is useful:
Should I feed my foxes?
If you want to, yes; lots of people feed foxes, either regularly or occasionally, and get a great deal of enjoyment from doing so, but please be aware they are wild animals - feed and watch them, but don't try and tame them. In particular, don't put out excessive amounts of food and clear away any uneaten food. This will help ensure you do attract unwanted visitors, such as rats or cause a nuisance to your neighbours.

jclarke, round here you buy people a pint as a goodwill gesture, not because they're alcoholics. Maybe it's just the bourgeoisie in us.
-
Thanks MattyBahatty, at least we know there are no orphaned cubs.
-
I'm not saying it's right to have killed the fox, I'm just asking please look at the facts, especially if you want to prosecute the neighbour
Fox has been killed - fact
A catapult or airgun was heard - speculative
A shot was heard at 1am - speculative (a moderator/suppressor would be used and so you probably wouldn't hear it anyway)
Cause of death - unknown
RSPCA voicemail said it's legal to shoot a fox - fact
"Obvious from the photos that this fox has suffered" - speculative
The fox has cubs - speculative (hopefully false)
That vixens scream at mating time, which is in January - fact (I was wrong to think that that was the sound)
Use of poison - speculative (but very illegal, proof would seal a prosecution)
"Now these people might shoot a cat, where will they stop?" - Speculative, and it's illegal
etc etc
By the way DF - it's cooked chicken bones that are dangerous, they're brittle and sharp when broken.
To me the important thing is that if there are cubs, where are they and can they be cared for so they don't suffer? The Fox Project is the best place to contact.
-
Foxes do make screaming noises when they're wanting to mate, look up "screaming vixens". There are two sides to a story like this and we're just hearing one, it'll be good to hear the other and get all the facts, not just speculation.

malumbu, robbie's just trolling/jesting and it started in a deteriorated state so can't go much lower. I suggest you roll with it, perhaps throw in a few myths questioned in a factual way, or just point to a misrepresented report and say "well x said y so y" and watch people argue and discuss in your wake. This format works for both trolls and the POTUS.
-
I agree with robbie (shock!) that she tried to play the race card to quickly, she was chomping at the bit to get one over on him. I disagree that CBS are part of the fake news brigade.

Awesome entertainment, I've not the time or inclination to watch much of it but the bit I saw had a naked man jumping and falling from a Buckingham Palace window, on which "the Palace refused to comment" and "the police have not investigated" therefore proof that the Royals are involved and it's covered up by the Met. All very Chris Morris but it was actually a stunt for a TV programme https://vimeo.com/154292540 but facts are not important here, facts just get in the way of the truth.

President Trump said that ?Because of all we?ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low." https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-vice-president-pence-members-coronavirus-task-force-press-conference/
He was wrong, he can be wrong. Like saying inject disinfectant. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-vice-president-pence-members-coronavirus-task-force-press-briefing-31/ Just because of his position it does not mean he is automatically correct. It's a shame as it means we lose faith in one of the most influential people in the world.

Nice work on these, it would be great if you could go back to the same people in, say, 1, 3 and 6 months to ask how they're getting on with achieving those changes.
-
I can't watch it, it links to a Twitter page which has loads of noise on it and it's unfindable.
-
My thoughts
a) Maybe you think it's more relevant but other's don't
b) You're just sharing a link to yet another article about Covid 19, of which there are already a billion (my estimate)
c) A cock in a White Maserati is more interesting (evidenced by more people reading it)
d) Bumping your own stuff on the forum is annoying

Hospitals aren't just for Covid-19 patients. A child can't drink water, that's serious.
As the Consultant Paediatrician says, take them to A&E if you feel you have to. It's not ridiculous.
-
Can you go there in person? I had to go to mine in person for a repeat prescription but they take 5 days to come through. Or take him to A&E.

I see you've added re. the huddled builders "and one has developed a cough in the past few days." to your original post.
As noise is your issue "The point of my original post was about the noise" perhaps speak to the noise people at the council. I'm not sure they can deal with the noise of coughs though.

"Charles and Camilla were now self-isolating at Balmoral", must be tough
-
Everything mentioned is speculative, back it up with evidence (such as photos) and you're more likely to get a better outcome.
Well, better than just letting off steam on the forum.
-
Can you take a picture of the builders huddled together to support your argument?

It's the national flag of the United Kingdom. I think it's a good thing it's there, nothing wrong with it. Comparing to Nazis is just daft.

Are they in the ED area?

Everyone's in the same boat as you but some are working harder to bail it out to stop it sinking than others. I sympathise with your issues but if everyone does what's best for the greater good then we'll be better sooner.

I agree but it's also really good that people are heeding the advice. To use that annoying phrase it's short term pain for long term gain. have no idea how big "long" or "short" are but they're relative, a smaller short means a smaller long.
