I wouldn't call the black cat in Hayes Grove small.

James Wellbeloved is a good food usually. If a dog has an upset tum you should stop normal dog food for a day/and/or just feed them white rice and a bit of cooked chicken or white fish. Then reintroduce the food and see what happens. I would just keep a lot of newspapers on the floor in the kitchen and confine her there but keep taking her out a lot. What breed is she?

What is the latest on the new hospital in ED?
cate replied to apmuso's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I went to Dulwich Hospital for blood tests and waited for about two minutes. It was late afternoon. They are open until 445 pm. At Kings I have waited an hour and a half. Edited to say I realise it is a problem if you have fasted and need to go in the morning. That part isn't pleasant. I have gone early before and waited about 70-90 minutes. -
According to the Herne Hill forum I read and is mentioned in above, she has an ASBO now. It seems you need to call their safer neighbourhood team and hopefully they will deal with it.

Just found this:- http://www.dog-obedience-training-review.com/stop-puppy-whining-html

No, don't let the pup sleep on the bed !!! You can't let them become a little dictator now. They need boundaries, like kids. You can't keep rushing to them every time they cry or whine. Don't feel guilty. It's very easy to feel sorry and protective of a puppy because they are so cute but you have to be strong. Leave the room for 10 minute or so and then when you come back don't over fuss the pup. Just talk to them and say hello. Then pet them a bit later on. Then leave the room for longer and longer. They have to learn that the crying doesn't get you running to them. Be strong and firm. You are not being cruel.

How long have you had her? Are you tiring her out so she will sleep? Puppies should sleep a lot. Give her something that smells like you like I said above. Be careful with the teddy bear as she could rip it apart and swallow something. Some dogs are more whiny than others. Are you feeding her small meals? If you got her from a breeder then you could ask them for advice as to that particular breed's quirks/needs.

How old is he/she? Do you have a crate for the pup? He/she will be missing brothers and sisters now. If not I suggest you get one so they can retreat into it and have it as a haven. Give the pup a vet blanket, a white one that looks like a curly sheepskin to sleep on and a piece of clothing/towel that smells like you. What room are you keeping the dog in? I kept mine (recent) one in the kitchen with a babygate across the door until she got acclimatised to the house. I did let her explore the house when I was with her. I found it was easier to housetrain the pup in the kitchen. I was lucky that my dog slept fine on her own and didn't whine at night. I'm sure there are other tips out there that people can recommend but I can't think of anymore.

It's the road opposite East Dulwich station with new flats and houses in it. It runs into Coplestone Road. Betting shop on the corner on Grove Vale.

Just looked at the Herne Hill thread. Guess the lure of the dosh is too strong for her.

There is homeopathic cream out there. Nelson's I think. Perhaps you could try that. -
I have seen that cat. He used to run up a tree when I passed walking with my dog, but has become more feisty and instead of running off he stands his ground and tries to attack my dog !

And I am a car > driver too. Well said. I am glad they brought the dropped kerbs in but think it might take a while for the information to filter through. The 'marauding' parking wardens should help. The drivers that irritate me the most are the van drivers who park so close to corners that I cannot see if it is safe to pull out or not. Your vans are not see through!!

No I don't Woof. That is definitely a guy thing.

I see Woof as the kind of guy who sits on tube seats with his legs spread really far apart and taking up both arm rests.

It's a bit hard to ask someone to pick their litter up when no one is about. I don't doubt that the people depositing their litter by the bins thought they were doing the correct thing but they weren't. The stuff was in neatly tied plastic bags. No doubt they thought someone from the council would be along in a minute to take care of the stuff. Probably there should have been. At weekends in the summer, councils should send out a waste colletion team to pick up the rubbish left behind. Have you ever seen Primrose Hill at the end of a sunny weekend day in the summer. Looks like a festival day. Unbelievable!!

Electricity is only cheaper if you are on an Economy plan. I think a lot of dishwashers have ridiculously long programmes. Would always look for one with quick washes, like washing machine. And one with a pre rinse cycle if you don't rinse your dishes off beforehand.

Yesterday evening in Peckham Rye Park there were tons of bags of rubbish left on the ground by the dog pooh bin as well as left outside the ordinary bins. What was that about? So by this morning they will have been dismembered by the foxes and spread about the park. People, take your rubbish home with you if there isn't space in the bins.

ED on TV... or Peckham Rye to be exact... back to ED!

Some people are just exhibitionists. And they like the idea of not having to pay for a property search agent which is all Phil is.
