2020 Update on Parking zones in ED and West Peckham.
Spartacus replied to trinidad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
If you put in an objection or feel grieved by the councils decision to ignore virtually all the objections to implement the CPZ then I can suggest the following 1. Write a letter to the council to raise your complaint of the handling of the situation highlighting the fact that they have unfairly ignored all objections to the initial and follow up consultations. 2. Wait till they respond and keep a copy of their response. 3. If they are still insisting on implementing the scheme with the longer parking restriction times then go to https://www.lgo.org.uk/ to raise a complaint about your dispute with the council and attach their response letter to your submission It may not change the decision by the council, but the more people and businesses who do it, then the more chance that the scheme may have the hours amended before implementation. On the other hand is you are happy that the consultation was fair then ignore this idea. I am aware that some people want the scheme and the longer hours but equally some people don't (and based on the initially consultation that was a lot of people) so the more that complain, the better. -

The VN plates were on it this > > morning and they came to swap them to BF this > > afternoon. > > > Both number plates are for a Blue VW Golf and come > back as MOT'd, insured, taxed and not stolen. That's the point The plates may have been stolen but the car they came off wasn't, therefore the car they have been applied to, if sold with a false v5, will make a stolen car appear legitimate -

It might be worth also reporting this to your local snt team as well as the police as there appears to be a mini car related crime wave at the moment and they can add this to their list of things to watch our for What make of car was it as plates are often stolen to make a stolen car appear legit when selling it, -

Still you too will have a sore head when "teach" bangs it together with the other kids on here Best way to kill a thread is by not posting on it and others will soon do the same

Calm down people ... it's only an election !

If people don't like other people's views / beliefs then the simple solution is to stop reading this thread and to stop posting on it However if you want to engage in conversation with people who don't hold the same ideals as yourself then carry on It's really quite simple like that. At this stage in the game I suspect people posting on here have already made up their minds which way to vote Thursday so this thread is just throwing stones at each other to get a reaction rather than a straight forward debate to try and convince people to change their views and thinking.

The issue I see with Nicole is not them voting for independence, personally I don't give a Jot if they do, it's the other things she will demand as part of a coalition including giving up our nuclear defense. Don't get me wrong I'm all in for global unilateral disarming of nuclear devices but there is no way in hell that I can support just the UK giving them up as that would leave us defenseless to other countries that do have them. (The old mutually assured destruction syndrome) That and other things is why I think a coalition with the SNP is a dangerous option for the country , not the threat of indyref

Someone sent me a message stating "A vote for Labour is a vote for a coalition with the SNP and Nicola being the puppet Mistress" That would worry me more than anyone else being in power as her demands would destroy this country

If only someone would invent a bag that's not made from plastic and you could put fruit and veg into them and they are made from natural products. Maybe, and this is a bit out there, something like brown paper bags !

Details of how labour will pay for all their promises are coming out now Tax the rich equates to Those earning over ?80,000 Removal of married couples tax allowance Raid on inheritance allowance None of this is going to effect the common person in the street is it? Unless you are married or you inherit anything. 🤔

Maybe, just maybe this is an indication that we should all start supporting our amazing diverse non chain local shops especially for groceries, fish and meat Just food for thought (if you excuse the pun)
